    Default Exchanging Unopened Diapers

Where can I exchange unopened packs of diapers without a receipt? It would be strictly an exchange for size 2 of a brand/style to size 3. My in-law's currently have temporary custody of my nephew because of family drama. My bro-in-law gave them all the stuff they got at the shower that they hadn't used. They have several packs of size 2 diapers, however the baby is size 3 and my mother-in-law asked if I knew how I any place that would exchange them without a receipt.
I am in So. Cali, so I have access to Target, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, among others.
    Thanks in advance!

If you don't have a receipt and you can't remember where you bought them, you're out of luck. Sell them on CL or something.

It is unethical and against HCW rules to suggest that you return/exchange them at any place other than the store where they were purchased.

If the replies to her question were viewed as unethical I'm surprised her entire thread hasn't been deleted.

OP I am not suggesting it should be.

It's a question that comes up occasionally, so people need to see the answer from the mods.

The answer is, don't do it. :-)

    Ah, good point.

And now that I have thought about it, I am pretty sure the store would have had to discard them anyway for health and safety reasons. Probably if I had one still in diapers that would have occurred to me but it's been about 15 years.

Sorry, my bad. Didn't think it was unethical.
