Luvs "New & Improved" Diapers

These are the new ones with the new packaging and the stretchy tabs.

The word on the baby boards is that they suck. The tabs cause leaks, and the blue core is not as large or absorbent as the ones that they are replacing.

I don't intend to try them, because I have discovered that Luvs give the Pinenut a rash, but I thought it would be good to get others' opinions.

They look to me like they are trying to imitate Huggies design.

If that's the case, I'll pass. Huggies are aweful, and never worked on either of my DS's.

i used luvs on both of my older kids and never had any problems but when i had my third son a few months ago i bought some and they leaked every time. we now use pampers and huggies(depending on the coupons i have)

I tried Luvs only one time before, and just like everyone said, they did end up leaking. So having bought only one pack that didn't work for my DS, I never bought another one! I kinda feel bad for saying it, but they are just too cheaply made to really hold much!

I used to use Luvs if I had coupons and they were on sale, but honestly, the dollar general diapers worked best for us! I babysit my niece's daughter, so it's good to know they might not work very well.

I love, love, love Luvs diapers. they are much cheaper and are very good when holding the pee and poopie in my experience. I have used them with my son 5 years ago and am now using them with my 18 month daughter. They work great for us. :) Good luck!

I have to agree, we had problems with the newer ones. It seems to be better now, but my DD is not nearly as heavy of a wetter as she used to be too. Also I went up a size, I have to get a bigger size in Luvs than other diapers (which makes it a lower count, therefore not as good a value).

Sadly I have a closet full of Luvs so we are using them for now. I think they MAY have made their new ones better because again, I once had problems, but now it seems to be okay.

I think they are perfectly fine for daytime diapers but don't hold all the wetness in overnight. It seeps out on the sides and once up his front. Eww!

Also, DH thinks I'm crazy to care about this but I really do not like the smell of Luvs. It's very strong and perfumey to me!
