I know I could certainly use a toddler support group here!!! Shall we start one??
DD is 2.5 and can she throw a tantrum. DS is 6 months. So between wanting attention and general terrible twos... I'm going just slightly crazy.Right now, she's crying on the floor over a cookie cause I gave her only half of it and not the whole thing.
How do you all survive? Although I must say that most people commented to me that DD is really a hand full.

DD4 is constantly on the go go go more than i can handle some days.
always climbing on things scratching herself, getting into things that we tell her no to.. always touching things shes not supose to. we offer her toys of her own but the broom seems more magestic or something. Shes broken 4 brooms in 2 years. ugh. just playing around with them. she used to try and sneak out of the house. but we deadbolted all the doors and now lock all doors inside. Shes never left alone,. but simple seconds and she used to slip out the door to play in the back yard. she throws her fits where she screams . i dont want to resort to spankings but time outs are not working any more.she is our wild child. contantly nosing into EVERYthing possible..lol
i havebt gone nuts yet .. a little more gray every day but i love my kids with all my heart.

I have a son who just turned 3 in march and an almost 5 month old. Although their is no sibling rivalry (thank god). My son can whine to the point where i just want to scream. He whines when his hands are dirty and he screams when their is a bug (thanks to living with his cousin who is a girl who acts like she will die when there is a bug). He even starting cussing at me and talking back recently so thats been just great not.I do have to say though that i read or heard once that when they whine and throw a fit to just ignore it. It works pretty good because they are looking for attention and they get it by acting like it. So if you ignore it they stop cause it doesn't work. Then just last night he had only been asleep for maybe 30 minutes and he starts crying really loud. i go in to his room and he isn't even awake. I ask him whats wrong and he just cries really really loud and wont stop. So then his dad has to come in and he still wont stop screaming. Nothing wrong with him. maybe it was a night terror. My husband and i were trying to watch tv together for some "us" time before bed for once and he goes and does that. UGH!
I'm IN!!! I have one 23 month old - 2 more weeks til 2! and God can I lose my patience fast. Last night she would not go to sleep (she sensed I had something to do!) finally she went to sleep at 10:30 so I was up til 1am. Just in the last 2 weeks, she will not fall asleep in her bed - has to either be rocked, or will lay with me in my bed. She used to lay down in her crib and put herself to sleep. No more, screams if I put her in there. I don't like CIO and we live in a TH so I am afraid of keeping the neighbors up.
and climbs out of the shopping carts, but walks away from me in the store.
and has now learned the go limp manuever if I try to hold her hand to get her to go someplace.
and this is typical, juice? Juice? JUICE! JUUUUUUUUUUUUICE!!!!!!!!!!!

Hehe... does it get better by 3 1/2? She's soo cute but not when throwing a tantrum. :)

3 1/2 is when they can start doing stuff for themselves and it doesn't turn into an epic disaster each time.
you know how the two year old wants to pour there own milk..and it makes ya wanna run out in the road and be done with life...ya the 3 1/2 year old can start doing stuff and it actually work!

LOL, too funny! I just had to chime in! I guess though my kiddos aren't in this stage. DD is 5, DS is 3 and Little DD is 9 months.
OP-I remember that age with my DD. Actually, she is pretty spoiled by DH so she still has a tantrum now and then. Just take it one day at a time. My oldest 2 are 25 months apart and it was quite something trying to juggle both of their needs. My SIL her little ones are about the same age as yours and when she calls me in tears all I can do is calm her down and tell her to take it one day at a time.
My next advice is to just ignore her. Perfect example-my little DD, 9 months old, wanted me to pick her up, instead I just watched her. She threw her little body to the floor and screamed, and turned away, then she paused for a second, turned her head to see if I was still watching and continued to cry! They learn really early! LOL
Good Luck!!!!
