Default What about wipes? How many?

    Hi everyone,
My daughter is currently expecting and is due in September. I see lots of talk about diapers and formula, but what about wipes? A fantastic deal stated in my local grocery store today and I'd like to start stocking these, and frankly, I have no idea how many she'll go thru. She's 19 and my son is 20, so it's been a LONG time since I've bought them.

These are Huggies wipes 64 to 72 ct. packages.

Do you all even like Huggies?

Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Rayne

I love huggies i perfer them over the pampers wipes (too thin). But if i can't find a deal on huggies wipes which where i live its hard to come by deals i buy the Equate brand wipes they are 4.97 for 240ct = 2.07 cents a wipe. I stockpile anything thats below 2 cents a wipe. Target is usually a place i can find them cheap.I go through about 420 wipes a month for a 3yr old and a 3 month old.

I, too, prefer the huggies wipes, I don't buy the pampers anymore. I try really hard not to pay over .015 c per wipe. I have gotten some good deals at Amazon and Kroger. As for a count-- as many as you can get. As long as they are sealed, they shouldn't go bad. I usually use about a tub a week for a 16mo old.

Personally I think a zillion wipes will be sufficient. You can never have enough. I don't care what brand it is. They all work. Some maybe better than others but believe me if the price is right they are good. That's JMHO and I'm a Grammy too, have fun.

I agree with a zillon wipes.

I prefer huggies over pampers. Mostly only get pampers when they are free!

I agree - however many you can get! I was buying wipes for my kids until they were 4-5. They are perfect for cleaning faces, hands, and tushes. So if you have a hot deal, buy! buy! buy!!!! It is one of those items you don’t have to worry about them growing out of :D

    Congrats!!

A zillion wipes might not be enough lol. We go through them like crazy. They're good for cleaning faces after eating, wiping tables when you're out to eat, a quick refresh if you're hot, playdoh and paint cleanup, all kinds of stuff! My DD1 who is potty trained uses flushable wipes when she goes to the bathroom. Because I get them cheap or free, I let them use them on their baby dolls too.

While I appreciate all the replies, I am not liking what I'm reading, LOL.

    Here is the deal:

If I buy 36 packs of wipes, at the end of the day, it will cost me around $8.00 something, plus whatever the tax would be. At the store I plan on getting these at, it will cost me $2.69 a package, minus the $0.50 Q (with only ONE doubling to $1.00 per transaction). This will make them, $2.19. If I buy 36 it will be $78.84 total. If I buy that many, I will get 30 gallons of free gas which I can sell to my in-laws for $70.00.

I can repeat this quite a few times and 2 bro in laws will also buy the gas.

I guess it looks like I should do it over, and over, and over. Thanks for the replies everyone. I just ordered 80 $1.00/2 coupons, plus I already had 30 $0.50/1 Qs. I doubt I will use them all, but I got a great deal so I went ahead and bought them.
