I didn't make any milk. I would have done it for about 6 weeks if I could, and transitioned to formula after that.

yes, about 3-4 months with my first and 7-8 months with my second.

DS1 nursed for 7 months. DS2, I pumped for about 6 months b/c he was in the NICU.

I did for a month with first daughter. She had jaundice and wasn't gaining sufficient weight the first week and I had to supplement with formula. Nobody taught me how to handle engorgement and I ended up killing my milk supply.

With daughter number two, we had jaundice and weigh issues again and this time I made sure I handled everything correctly. I nursed her for 9 months. I would have gone a year, but hubby started a MBA program where he would be gone a lot at night and I wanted to drink lots of caffeine to make it through the day and night with a 10 month old and 4 1/2 year old. I ended up not drinking much more caffeine and wished I would have gone the full year.

With DD 1, we nursed for almost 6 months, then switched to formula. DD 2, nursed for 18 months, I think. I can't remember, it was so long ago. I loved every minute of them both. Felt wonderful doing something for my daughters

I have issues with milk supply. I wish I could, but can't.

Ironic thing is, I'm in the perfect position to breastfeed as my kids are at work with me.

I did with my son for 4 mo. pumped at work and he nursed morning and night until 6mo. My daughter was exclusively BF until 9mo and would have gone to 2 years but she weaned herself . I was so sad when she didnt want me anymore..lol
