I used cloth diapers. LOVED THEM! I bought mine either used (most of us that use cloth take very good care of them and treat them like children themselves..lol) and I bought mine new from...it has been a while let me go look up the webpage.

I did try getting some used ones a few months ago, but they all leaked constantly. I thought it was me since it was the first time using cloths, but I spoke to someone else who used cloths and she said it must have been washed the wrong way or fabric softener use by the previous owners. So, not looking forward to buying used again. I'm not looking to get a huge stock since my daughter is 2 and we're going to start potty training soon, just thought it might be easier to potty train with cloth diapers rather than disposable, but I also don't want to get cheap cheap ones and get frustrated and give up again. I saw Bed Bath & Beyond has bumkins 3 covers and some inserts for 69.99 (and I have a 20% off coupon), I also saw Costco has a Grovia kit, 6 covers, 12 inserts and disposable inserts, detergent and something else (don't remember) for 139 I think. But, now I'm thinking what if I spend all that money and the brand is horrible. See, this is what I go through when I buy something, I overthink EVERYTHING!!

my favorite were the haute. I tried sooo many different cloth diapers and haute was the best. I have recommended them many many times to friends and family and they are all happy with them as well. Great little diapers. And fabric softener with cloth is a NO NO. Hot water with a free and clear (some poeple love origional tide) and rinse at least twice. hang dry in the sun. Fuzzibuns were a close 2nd for me. I know ebay sells both new.

We use a variety. Didn't like Gdiapers or GroBaby(now grovia). Personally love the Flips and Econobums. They are a cover with an insert. The econobum inserts are far more absorbent than the flips, but the flips have that "stay dry" feel. We also use BumGenius 4.0s, Happy Heiny OS Pockets, regular GMD(green mountain diaper) prefolds under our Flips or Econobum Covers, and I have some of the new Rumparooz covers on the way.

We cloth diapered our son when he was around 9 mos old, went back to sposies and then when our daughter was born we put them both in cloth. With DS potty learning was so much easier in cloth because he could feel wet(used prefolds/covers with him). With DD, she has been in cloth since she was 3 weeks old and we use different stuff for different times.

If you are looking for least expensive your covers/prefolds are going to be cheapest. I know their is a set at Cottonbabies of the Econobum that is 3 covers and 12 inserts(actually prefolds) for $50 and they always have free shipping. They also have sets of the Flips that have 2 covers and 6 stay drys for $50 or 2 covers and 6 organic inserts for $60.

Also if you end up not liking them at all you would be able to resell them for almost what you pay for them.

Do want to say free and clear detergent isn't a good choice for cloth. The detergent has an oil in it that deposits in the fabric and doesn't rinse all the way. Free and clear is what caused issues with my diapers, now we are a Tide original user and have had no issues since.

You can use the $10 amazon, com codes to buy cloth diapers. There's also someone who has a package where you buy a big package and try it and then return what you don't use.
