    Default Morning Sickness getting worse?

Hey! I'm pregnant with our last baby!

I know a lot of you knew I had a d&c Oct. 8 last year.

    Well, I'm 15 weeks today!

Anyways, I had a bleeding on and off in the beginning, found out I had a tear in my uterus. Praise GOD it healed up! Anybody else try modified bedrest with 5 little ones?????

We are pretty sure the has to be a boy, I get sick, but, not that much with girls. With my boys...I stay sick all the time. I know opposite from most. That and we thought of a lot of great girl names not boys...yet.

But, the ms should be easing up. But, it seems to be getting worse. It is mostly morning sickness and evening sickness.

The other night I (tmi) yucked up and ended up passing out and hitting the back of my head on our vanity. Ouch, poor cabinet needs a band-aid I think. And my hubby freaked out. I'm fine.

But, I'm can't get rid of the morning sickness unless I eat lots of protein (chicken seems to be the easiest). Which is hard to muster down when your nauseated. Any carbs (including crackers) or sugarary foods, carbonated soda (like diet ginger ale), or water on empty stomach, makes me sick!

What can I make at night that can be ready to eat in the morning that has chicken as the main ingrediant???? Really I'm half tempted to make grilled chicken breasts to eat cold in the morning (used to eating cold chicken breasts, as that is what I would get in my lunches at school). I just don't want to cook anything in the morning as the smell really gets to me.

And yes the morning sickness does make me feel happy in a odd way. At least I think the baby is doing good. I can stop the night time sickness if I just eat frequent small meals/snacks all day. But, the morning sheesh.

    TIA
    Mom to DS (8), DD (6), DS (4), DD (3), DD (2).

If you're looking for quick and easy, try Tyson grilled chicken breasts (big bags in the freezer section), they're good as sandwiches, on a salad, pretty much anything grilled chicken. You're supposed to bake them in the oven but I think they're good leftover and reheated in the microwave too.

If the above has to be heated and you can't stand the smell of anything cooking, you could try Oscar Mayer brand grilled chicken strips (by the deli meats). Don't think you have to cook those, but I have read you aren't supposed to eat deli type meats without heating when you are pregnant cause they can contain Listeria.

With whatever type of chicken you decide to go with, you could make a protein salad with black beans, chicken chunks, and quinoa (if you aren't familiar with it, its a very protein filled grain, minutes to cook)... add some cilantro (it may help to settle nausea), some cumin (may also help), pinch of salt, and lime juice. Very delicious and healthy, and you can prepare it the day before.

Also, some people say that waking up to eat a small snack in the middle of the night can help with morning sickness. I mention it since you said eating frequently in the day helps with the evening sickness, so maybe part of it is that you are going too long without eating before morning.

I had morning sickness with my twins my entire pregnancy....they said it was due to the increased hormones or something then later the lack of space for the contents of my stomach.

If chicken seems to do the trick for you how about a chicken salad sandwich if you can tolerate the mayo?

Other mild proteins you might want to try might be eggs (hard boiled maybe) or cheese or even beans (although that might give you gas).

I know with each of my four pregnancies the morning sickness was different with each one and I never could pin point it on the sex of the baby. My first child (girl) it was pretty bad for the first three months. I had food cravings in a bad way but threw it up after eating it. Second pregnancy (girl) I only had the morning sickness in the first 8-9 weeks and it was totally triggered by smell. My third pregnancy (boy) I had it for the first three months again but my sense of smell was so enhansed I could smell the cat using the litter box downstairs from my upstairs bedroom far away and would wake up in the night puking because I could smell the cat poop. Gross. My fourth was the with my twins (boy and girl) and I just learned to expect to throw up everyday for any reason. I even had morning sickness the day I delivered them. It was never severe but it was once a day pretty much for all 38 weeks.

Wow, you moms have endurance, I will give you that. Throwing up once a day for 38 weeks, that's 9 and 1/2 months, or 266 days. That's unreal! Can't the doctor's give anything for that? How does the baby and you get nutrients, if you end up throwing up the meal? Not to mention, how does one even make themselves eat when they feel nauseas?

You just do the best you can and get on with your day. It's all worth it in the end though.

I puked every day several times a day with my first boy! Even puked the night I had him. With my 2nd boy - not even one time did I puke.

I tried everything with DS #1 b/c I was determined not to puke for 9 months! LOL! The only thing that I found that worked was taking B6 in addition to my prenatal. I will say it didn't stop the puking, but got it down to 2 or 3 times a day, instead of 10! That was an improvement to me. I took it at night to help in the morning, and in the morning to help with the day.

BTW - my sister did strict bed rest with 5 little ones, so I feel your pain.
