Default Big ol' baby! (Measuring big during pregnancy)

I'm just curious for those of you moms who were measuring big during your pregnancy - what was the outcome? Did your baby end up being very large? Did you deliver early at all?

I am 33 weeks right now but I am measuring 38 weeks. I know some people measure big and even have an ultrasound to measure the baby's weight and it all turns out to be nothing and baby comes out average weight - But I would like to hear some personal experiences.

    Thanks!!

My son ended up being 9 lbs and 1 oz. He was 2 weeks past my due date and my water ended up breaking on the day I was scheduled to be induced. He was so big though I ended up in an emergency c-section because he wouldn't fit through the birth canal. I'm not trying to scare you, I'd do it again if neccessary. It was all worth it.

Note: I think my babies are just big though. I had twins, which are normally smaller than single babies. Mine were 7 lbs 2 oz and 6 lbs 13 oz. I went to term with them as well.

It seems to me that those ultrasounds/measurements are usually off (not always, but often). My mom had an early c/s w/ my sister because she was supposedly almost 11 lbs. She was barely over 8. I have 3 friends who have had similar experiences.

With my last baby I was measuring large. At 38.5 weeks I was measuring 43 weeks I had a csection due to her size. She was 10 pounds 3.5oz. She was my fifth baby and only csection. Although I am pregnant again and being forced into another csection no hospitals around here allow vbacs.

I was induced with my DS when I was 2 days late with him because I was measuring big and I was tiny. My Dr. wanted to induce me because she was afraid I would have to have a c-section. He ended up being 8 lbs. 3 oz.

I always looked small when I was pregnant but on ultrasounds my babies measured big. I was never told anything regarding how many weeks I was measuring, but on the due date for baby #3, I was told she was 9 pounds 12 ounces. She was born 11 days later -naturally with no complications- and weighed exactly 9 pounds. I think they measured her femur to calculate her weight--she WAS very long but thin.

First one came at 33 weeks due to prom
Second one came at 35 weeks due to prom
Third one came on time at 40 weeks.
