A friend of mine married a man that had a vasectomy before they met and they decided they wanted a child together so he had a reversal and 3 years later they have 2 beautiful children.
My DH had a vascetomy two years ago. At that time we felt that we were done having kids and since I got pregnant with both of my kids while on birth control we wanted something permanent since we were afraid I would get pregnant again while on BC.
Now I really regret our decision. In a year or so I would love to try to have another but have heard that having a vasectomy reversal does not have the greatest results.
Just wondering if there is anyone out there who has been through this and had positive resultsIt is alot of money for us to spend so I would love to hear if anyone has had luck with it.

Well we had 2 kids hubby had a vasectomy. Then we changed our mind. He had 8 years between his vasectomy and vasectomy reversal. But we went to the guy who invented the procedure but 2 years later he commited suicide. His results were always great like 90-95% sucess. We have since had 3 kids and I am 6 weeks pregnant so 4 pregnancies since the reversal.

I have a friend who's husband had a v...horrible story...it was 4 days before their infant son (3 month old) passed away from SIDS. After all settled down from the funeral, they did go to a doctor who specialized in reversals. Now, 2 years later, they have another beautiful son who is doing wonderfully well. I don't know if the time in between procedures limits the percentage of success, but it is definately worth talking to a specialist about! Good Luck!
Vasectomy Reversals are done every day but do not always receive positive results. You should talk to a few different doctors before deciding on one. Don't let the price guide you. This is one of those few instances that I truly believe you get what you pay for. My daughter is a tubal reversal baby. It took us 5 years to get to the decision that we wanted another baby although I regretted my tubal the minute the doctor said it was finished. There are some good sites out there for information on reversals.
I have a friend whose DH had a vasectomy. When their 5 year old son drowned they decided they wanted another child and the procedure worked and they did have another child.
Hello Ladies..I am VERY new here..I had my tubes tied in June of 92 after giving birth to our 3rd child..I was devestated about having this done..We found a great doctor in 12/99 and had my tubes reversed..I had some other fertility iisues & had to use some fertility drugs but in March of 2002 we added quadruplets to our family...Never give up hope..Children are the best blessing ever...
Thanks for all the help. I now have a little more hopeWe still are not 100% positive we will do the reversal. DH is a little nervous about it which I completely understand. I wish we would be one of the lucky ones who end up getting pregnant even though the man had a vasectomy. I know that is not common but one can hope right?
