My third grader would probably like those things and I doubt she will stop liking them in the next couple years or so.
I wonder what the more "mature" alternative would be. Hmmm...
yes
no
For halloween I was going to fix DD's class (2nd grade) grab bags with toy frogs, snakes, lizards and hi bounce balls. I mentioned this to a friend and she said they were to old for those things. What do you think.
The friends DD is in the same class. My DD and her;s love these type things.
What do you think?

As a parent, I would prefer my child receive as little candy as possible. Maybe it is wishful thinking, but I don't think schools should be one of the places kids get candy. There is plenty of opportunity for it at home. That's just me, though! :)
My third grade daughter would love them....

hmmm. I'm beginning to think maybe my friend was a little jealous that she wasn't giving the bags.
thanks for the input guys.
I have a couple of grandsons in the 2nd grade and trust me, they would LOVE a grab bag like that. I think it is a great alternative to candy.
Raising children(especially teens) is like being pecked to death by a chicken
In my defense, I will only bid human beings in the auction forum if it's a MM.
hmmm... my dh still enjoys rubber snakes and lizards (only cause they always startle me when I'm not expecting to see one laying under something & then there it is.... so he thinks its funny to randomly place one somewhere that will scare me! lol)
anyways.... no, I don't think 2nd graders are too sophisticated to receive them.... especially in Halloween goody bags. Yeah, it would possibly be not such a great choice as like a Christmas present... but Halloween is all about icky things like toy frogs and snakes! lol
I think they are still in the age bracket that would enjoy these things. They may start to outgrow this type of stuff in a year or to, but I think they'd be thrilled to get a goodie bag like this now!
