When did you tell your family you were expecting?

The logical side of me says I should have waited several more weeks before telling my parents that we are expecting.

But - I couldn't hold it in. We are only 5 weeks and I already told them.

I know so much can go wrong in the early weeks, but I suck at keeping secrets!

SO ~ How long did you wait until telling your family?

We waited til 14 weeks. It felt like forever but the nice part was, I went several weeks without my mom or sister calling me daily to see how I was doing :)

With the wee ones now 22 and 24 yrs old, I still remember vividly calling my folks long distance to tell them the good news, immediately

But we had been going through fertility work for 4 years, I couldn't hold back! I was beside myself with excitement!

Fortunately, both pregnancies were wonderful

We were on fertility meds too ~ So that adds to the impatience!

All three of my pregnancies I told my family right away. I was only about 3 weeks each time I told them. Its hard to keep such excitement from anyone.

I waited the 12-14 weeks for both #1 and this time with #2. They live far so I waited until they came to visit which was right around Memorial Day so it worked out.

Congrats! I waited 8 weeks to tell my mom about the twins - but only waited 6 weeks with my youngest. It is hard to keep good news to oneself!

We told our families within a week of our finding out, so when I was around 5 weeks and 7 weeks pregnant.
