Default What other Stores offer Free/Cheap Family fun?

I know of Micheals and Homedepot that offer fun things for kids & family to do together but I was wondering what other stores offer stuff like that? Did a miss a forum for this?
TIA

Lowe's has a program like Home Depot called build and grow. I'm interested to see what others have found.

Kids Re: What other Stores offer Free/Cheap Family fun?

Ikea has a great kids' play area where kids are left in well-managed caregivers for at least 1 to 2 hours while you shop. Also, inexpensive breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. Great Swedish modular furniture and great prices for whole house, etc.

Web site is below--

Welcome to IKEA.com (Ikea's site/info.)

Dang, I don't have Lowes in my area lol :-(
I'm not interested in leaving my kids with strangers while I shop. If I don't want them to tag a long I just don't bring them. They stay home with dad.
*I was looking more for things the family could do together.*

Bass Pro shop has a ton of things to look at, plus they have a "show" called feeding frenzy! Very cool. You could spend 1 - 2 hours for free. Look on their website for different shows and times.

When we lived in St. Louis, I know different muesums had free times. I know you aren't in St. Louis, but for example: Science muesum had free 4th Friday of the month, Children's muesum had a free evening, City muesum had a free evening, all different nights. The magic house had a free afternoon. One of the things we did was go to a hotel, and pick up their brochures, as if we hadn't ever been to St. Louis, learned a lot of things! HTH!

Hi,

There is a new Ikea in Charlotte, NC area and it about 1 year old. See Ikea's site for details/directions.

Welcome to IKEA.com (Ikea's site/info.)

Also, there is a BOGO Buffalo Chicken Wrap at Ikea's restaurant until 07/23/10. See store web site for details. Also, their food store is great and their meatballs last in the freezer for awhile.

the local libraries usually have free programs too.. ours here has a day a week where they do things (one week was magic show, one week was a play)... and then ours does a summer movie program too.. they show the new kid friendly movie once a week and sell popcorn and drinks for like a dollar each... hth!
