A fresh Thread: I'm Pregnant, Who Else is Too??

Just went to doc yesterday and I am due 3/6/11 with #2! Our son will turn 2 in the same month. We've recently moved back closer to family so it's great timing. I went to a new doc on Thursday. He was nice, but the office is huge! They're very busy- you are called by a number and also given a pager. It just seemed really impersonal. I've never met with a midwife and had a natural birth with the first, so I'm really considering it.

As for finding out.... my hubby doesn't want to. We didn't with the first. I told him it was a surprise we got pregnant, so that was big of enough surprise for me! I know the suspense of not knowing will get me just as much this time. I wouldn't feel right finding out without him knowing, but I would choose to find out if he didn't care.

But it's still early and have time to work all these things out. We're going to start telling family this weekend.

Welcome to all the ladies who've posted over the last few weeks!! Hope everyone is feeling well :)

I'm good, 16 weeks today. We find out the sex in about 2 weeks!!! Yay!!! #1 was a surprise, #2 we found out and will definitely find out for #3 as well because it's a totally opposite season baby. Both 1 & 2 were summer babies so I have nothing for a winter baby = SHOPPING (hehehe)

Been going to the beach everyday with my other LO's. Rocking a bikini. I hate maternity clothes and maternity swimsuits especially. Totally NMS =/

I'm due w/ #3 on 2/1/11....it's a repeact c-sec, so probably mid-Jan. I have 2 children, DS (4) & DD (2), and have had 2 m/c, most recent in Feb this year. I don't want to find out the sex this time, but we'll see if I stick to it when the time comes that I can.

Pregnant w/ #3... Due 12/26/10.

I am really, really hoping for a girl!!! We have a 3yr and 5yr old, both boys. We find out August 2nd.... I'm counting down the days! My midwife swears by the ring on a string test... which was accurate for both my boys; however, this time it swing back and forth, then switched to circles, then back to lines again. Maybe its one of each!! Haha

Like I said, due date 12-26.... I seriously hope I go early or late. Really don't want it to be born right at Christmas. My first was born at 36 weeks, my second at 42 (went into labor naturally both times)... so it's a total toss-up.

This will be my second completely un-medicated birth (had an epidural w/ #1... wasn't a good choice for me.)

Another thing...thanks to the lovely world of self employment, I have no maternity insurance (would have been 650 add'l per mo, can't get prego for 12 months and then a $5K deduct...crazy!!!!!!) and thanks to the advice from someone on this site, I'm going to a Birth Center...3300 TOTAL! Prenatal, delivery and 4 post natal visits...cross your fingers for me that all goes well and I can deliver there- I LOVE THE PLACE ALREADY, super sweet gals, it's truly different than a hospital. I always said I'd use drugs the minute I felt pain, wellll....I guess I just have to tough it out this time. I'm SO afraid, but I am not going to think about it until I'm delivering and it's too late to worry :))))

I decided to hire an at-home midwife w/ my second for insurance reasons. The delivery really was a lot better than my first, which was born at the hospital w/ an epidural. I was really worried too... but once you go into labor it's really more about the excitement that your baby will be here soon! Don't worry This time around I am going to a birthing center. I love it so much more than a regular OB-GYN because the nurses and midwifes really care and get to know you. I know there are good caring physicians out there.... but its just a bit different IMO. my dd is 3 1/2 and i'm scared as hell about having another one with how she is going through fits and wining, i keep telling myself that it could have to do with the changes she knows are going to happen, like the baby and she is starting head start in aug right around her birthday! i am so tired all the time and REALLY cranky lately and headacks almost every minute of the day and night i was also like that with dd. god please help my little family in dealing with me! i have not been very nice lately :(

If you already know you have to schedual your C-section, try to get it in 2010. You can claim a dependent for the 2010 tax year, that is a big help on your taxes!

I'm due with my 1st on October 11, 2010. I'm 29 weeks now, and I it's going to be a girl.

yeah i know! i'm going to try talking to my dr again since the 31st is 1 day before my 39th week and she said she would not do it before i was 39 weeks!
we are using the taxes for this year to get a better car so all the extra $$ will help alot! thank you for the advice
and also congrats on your first baby it will be a blast and go by way to fast!!
