They're not normal tests that are run, they are a genetic panel that is expensive and has to be specifically ordered. Most all PCOS patients have high testosterone, so that is not a cause of m/c - I have high testosterone and have never m/c (thankfully)....however, I did not have low progesterone.
Perhaps it is because most PCOS patients aren't monitored until after they've had m/c or were unable to conceive. I was unable to conceive, then sought treatment and my RE automatically put EVERYONE on progesterone support, irregardless of whether they had low progsterone or not.
Who knows, all I know is it's MISERABLE and I hate that we all have to go through our respective experiences!!!

) and ordered a pregnancy test. After the test was negative the doctor ordered blood work for me. The doctor prescribed Metformin, spironolactone, and the BCP. She also had me taking Vitamin B12 and Folic acid for headaches (I have always got bad migraines). I stopped taking the BCP and spironolactone last summer because I ran out of refills on the spironolactone and I really don't like being on the BCP.
