I tell him that if he doesn't want to sit in his chair like a big boy then I will take the chair away, so he stands up and pushes the chair to me). ugh...what do you do with that. He slams his door also when he is mad and one time DS-17months was standing in the way.

I turned off the TV night before last for bedtime and he hit the TV so hard I thought he had put a hole in it...I can't wait for 4; oh but then his brother will be 3:(
I had 2 that were 14 months apart and its not easy when they start going through the stages. But you think you got it bad now...wait until they become teens....

As for the chair, take it away for a day or two. If the TV is in his room, take thay away too and let him know he can't tear it up. I did this with my older 2 kids. Now my 7 yrs is a different story......from the time she was 6 weeks old until 18 months...she went down in the evenings at &pm, slept all night until 8am the next morning, went down for a nap at noon and slept till 2pm, then back down for the night at 7pm. Once she turned 18 months it was like I dont need to sleep, it would be any where from 2am until 5 am before I would get her down adn then she was back up at 7am. Like to drove me crazy, but finally she is back in the routine of sleeping. But I agree if they arent getting enough rest they becomes BEARS

I agree with the take it away. Mine are now 12,11 and 9 and my rule is even if you bough I can take it away. The minute I take something away they are very sorry my 9 year old still has stuff out in the garage I took away 2 weeks ago

Does he have a favorite toy maybe try when he gets mad and throws a fit calmly take away the toy and when he calms down tell them that's better and return the toy. I was always agaist taking stuff away but now that they are older it works pretty good. Set a standard now or they will walk all over you......
