Need advice on car seat for toddler 27 months

So did you end up getting the Nautilus? I am the market too. Ds is only 15 mo. Went from Chicco Key Fit infant seat to a crappy Costco/Safety 1st and want something different. It says 20 lbs and up and he's 21 and it is still loose on him WITH his winter coat on. Grr. It was a gift so I am using it instead of tossing it. It was a hand me down. It's an older one. Expires soon. We were fine with using it as it wasn't used very much and was in storage most of the time they had it. It was the grandparent's and used for only one child.

He is safer backwards facing at that weight still and he should never be in the carseat with his coat on. If it doesn't fit...please buy a new one...it's not worth the chance.

Just wanted to add we got the Graco Nautalis for my son, who is now 6 and weighs 58 lbs. He still has room to grow. It is large and heavy though.I have a ford taurus and it is tall for the backseat. So if you have a small car I would check it at BRU where they let you try it in your car, but I do love it and so does DS.

I'm no where near needing this item yet but thank you for the recommendations on it! I will keep this one in mind ...maybe a year down the road when the baby will be big enough for this item.
