What can I "make" with a crib bumper?

Hi. I am looking at buying a crib set that of course includes the crib bumper. We won't use it.. hoping that maybe someone here is creative and has some ideas on what we can make with it. I don't want to "waste" it. :-)

if its a light or solid color... you could take fabric paints/markers draw on it . write on it.. applique animals, shapes, colors.. and sew them into a soft cover book for baby...

If it has animals or some sort of objects on it you could cut it into squares/rectangles , attach a piece of ribbon to the back and make a few wall hangings

Take the stuffing out and put elastic on both ends and make it one of those plastic bag holders. (i'm assuming those plastic bags would be good for wrapping up stinky diapers)

Add stuffing and make them decorative roll pillows.

Cut it open so its one big piece of fabric, add a waterproof pad to it to make it an "on the go" changing pad.

Use it to line baskets or boxes for storage.

Make "pockets" in it by sewing seams vertically here & there and hang it up at the back or in front of the changing table to hold supplies for a quick & easy change.

WOW you guys are incredible!! I think you have me sold on the idea of getting the crib set! basicallY I can get the cute mobile for $35 shipped or the mobile with 4 piece crib set for $50 shipped. I was trying to justify the extra $15 for the crib bedding set!

I'm not even creative enough to think that there might be something else you could do with a crib bumper. :shrug7:My son is almost two and his crib bumper has been sitting in the closet since he was born.

Now maybe I can do something with it!! Thanks for starting this thread!
