    Do you have to buy the crib bumper? If you don't have to, then don't. It is in my opinion, a necessary piece for a crib but again, that is my opinion.

    I was sooo just wondering what I could do with my dd bumper last night (we took her crib apart and put her in toddler bed) Thanks for the great ideas!!

    You could also hang in on a closet door or whatnot because it's long enough.

    I have it just placed against the wall on the twin size bed. Makes it look like a day bed.

    If you want to use your crib bumper but are concerned about the dangers of the *fluff*..... We wove ours in and out of the slats in the crib. It made for decent protection from rolling into the slats and hurting as well as having a limb dangling out ( a horrible way to wake up in the night) but wasnt concerning as far as suffocation hazards. There just isnt enough contiguous fluff to be concerned about.
