Default Sippy cup recommendations?

Does anybody have any recommendations for sippy cups that are easy to use for a 9 month old and that don't leak? We've tried a couple different types and we keep having problems. We have some Nuby soft spouted ones that leak like crazy and another one that my daughter just can't seem to figure out how to use. Either that or she doesn't want to use it because I put water in it and she doesn't care too much for water just yet.
I figured I'd ask here for opinions before spending money on more that aren't going to work either.

I use the Gerber Soft Spout 2 handle cups. I have yet to have a leak and this is with a very active boy who likes to bounce it off everything. I don't know the colors for girls, but his are dark blue and green and the cup itself is clear.

My daughter has no problem with nuby ones and those were the ones I was gonna recommend lol but we also use the learning curve ones, they barely leak. I found them at kohls for about $4 each but its worth it. Walmart has learning curve ones but there for the advanced sippers. I'll look for them and I'll post them brb

Have you tried a straw cup? Those are better than sippy cups for oral-motor development.

I had totally forgotten that we had some Playtex straw cups from when Target had them for really cheap a couple of months ago. I just gave her one with some water and she's sucking down water like she's been doing it all her life. I think I'll just invest my money in some more of those. Thanks for the suggestion and jogging my poor mommy brain!

Oh, and she's also throwing it around the kitchen floor and it's not leaking a bit!

I was going to recommend a straw cup also. My son went to a straw cup first ar around 8 or 9 mos (Playtex with the bendy straw that closes on top) and then later decided to try a sippy cup. He is 2 now and we use both. For straw cups now we use the Take and Toss and for sippy cups we have hardspout playtex ones, a couple other hardspout ones that I don't know the brand of and a few nuby(but the nuby leak pretty bad though).

Playtex sippy cups are the best in our house. My son is now 4 and they are still working after using them for 3 years now. They don't leak and the tops go on really easily and don't leak which we have had that problem in the past with other cups.
