Re: WIC: How the program has changed Nebraska sounds like Iowa. We just now got $6 on frozen/fresh veggies or fruit... and can use coupons and pay any difference.
So last month our GG Steamers were on sale here for $1.29. I used 10 $.50/1 Qs to make them $.79 each or $7.90 for 10. WIC Check paid $6.00 towards them and I paid $1.90.
A typical WIC month in Iowa:
$6.00 Fresh/frozen fuit or vegetables
3 gallons whole milk
1 quart whole milk
2 loaves whole wheat bread
36oz Cereal
2 64oz Fruit Juice
4 cans Beans
1 Dozen Eggs
16oz Natural Cheese
VERY helpful. We pretty much shop only at Aldi's - it's nice to be able to coupon again when I use the WIC checks
