Re: What happened to your "pieces and parts" since birth? Baby daughter #1 (now 14) was 9lbs 5oz...gained 53 lbs & what the nurse referred to as a "shelf"...A Shelf? Who was she kidding? That was dangly flab left over from gaining 53 lbs & losing 10 of it in the hospital & 30 more in the next 2 weeks after the birth, which started out regular & became a c-section after about 7 or 8 hours of agony.
So, fast forward through a divorce, a 2nd marriage, 5 miscarriages & thyroid cancer, 9 yrs later, Baby daughter #2(now 5) was scheduled for a c-section, the heck with labor...7lbs 13oz, & I still gained 53 lbs :shrug7:. Tried to talk the MD into hysterectomy then, but he would only agree to the tubal.
So, this spring, I got my hysterectomy & a bonus tummy tuck to fix the remains of the stretched out belly...I was squeezing into 12s before surgery. I'm buying 6s now & the waist is loose ! As soon as I can scrape up the funds, I'm going back to fix the dangly arms & augmentation. There's just not enough elastic in the world...now with all the weight loss, they are just flat. DH says they followed the skin that got stretched to cover the belly. This was done for me...I wanted to feel & look better & I could not be more pleased with the results. DH liking it is just his own thing, it wasn't done to please him. My advice to anyone considering this type of surgery, is just that...do it for you, don't do it if you are already happy with who you are or how you look.
