Lets Get Physical What happened to your "pieces and parts" since birth?

I'm just curious when you noticed problems?

Like right after birth or YEARS down the road?

What happened and what you did you do to fix it? OR did it get fixed?

It just might be that because of an epidural that someone's something or rather fell out. But, since this brings up totally different debates and anger in some. Let's not start getting this thread off on why natural birthing is better/worse/indifferent. That is a different thread/different day. This is the afterwards thread.
**********************************************
The only strange/odd thing I have. I can't lift "heavier things" (carseats/boxes/20+ lbs.) without having to take pain killers for 3-4 days afterward. I mean it REALLY hurts. I can't tell if it was from to forceps with birth #1. Or birth #4 when I first started noticing the pain. I can't imagine #4 being the problem. I don't even remember it. (Epidural and phengren knocked me out). Now after #5 I hurt even more!

My bladder needs to be tacked back up due to my kiddos. I hate it ever so much cause each time I sneeze or cough I pee myself. I also have extremely bad spot on my back where the epidural was botch badly with my first. If you press anywhere on the spot it sends me into fits. It should heal over time but after 3 years I am not looking for it to heal any more.

I have a fallen bladder after baby #2. The doctor said it was the result of having two children 17 months apart. My pelvic floor muscles didn't have time to tighten back up after #1 (and he said the lowered hormones from breastfeeding slows that process down). I noticed the problem about 2 weeks postpartum... I kept feeling pressure down there similar to when baby engaged at 28 wks. I went to the bathroom and wiped and felt a huge bulge. I looked and I thought my uterus was falling out! It is very troubling and causes incontinence, back pain, and puts pressure on my hemorrhoids (another bonus from pregnancy!).

It is not recommended I "fix" it until I am finished having children because the likelihood of it happening again is high.

I know what you mean. If somebody touches that spot. I look like somebody gave me the Vulcan Death Grip.

*hugs* I'm so sorry. I had 5 kids 5 and under, when the last was born. I guess I got lucky.

My breasts are gone. After breast feeding 2 babies i was good. After the 3rd, that was it. I also lost 50 lbs after baby #3 which didn't help. The baby is now 3 1/2. I had a breast augmentation last Friday. Woo hoo!

Baby daughter #1 (now 14) was 9lbs 5oz...gained 53 lbs & what the nurse referred to as a "shelf"...A Shelf? Who was she kidding? That was dangly flab left over from gaining 53 lbs & losing 10 of it in the hospital & 30 more in the next 2 weeks after the birth, which started out regular & became a c-section after about 7 or 8 hours of agony.

So, fast forward through a divorce, a 2nd marriage, 5 miscarriages & thyroid cancer, 9 yrs later, Baby daughter #2(now 5) was scheduled for a c-section, the heck with labor...7lbs 13oz, & I still gained 53 lbs :shrug7:. Tried to talk the MD into hysterectomy then, but he would only agree to the tubal.

So, this spring, I got my hysterectomy & a bonus tummy tuck to fix the remains of the stretched out belly...I was squeezing into 12s before surgery. I'm buying 6s now & the waist is loose ! As soon as I can scrape up the funds, I'm going back to fix the dangly arms & augmentation. There's just not enough elastic in the world...now with all the weight loss, they are just flat. DH says they followed the skin that got stretched to cover the belly. This was done for me...I wanted to feel & look better & I could not be more pleased with the results. DH liking it is just his own thing, it wasn't done to please him. My advice to anyone considering this type of surgery, is just that...do it for you, don't do it if you are already happy with who you are or how you look.

My "girls" went bye-bye. UGH! Before kids I was a full C. Now I'm barely an A. I didn't breastfeed (they also didn't work) so I have no idea where they went. Maybe they migrated to my hips LOL. I also gained a lovely "flab" of tummy. I HATE that more than anything. I used to be a size 2 now it's a 12 due to the "flab". No matter what I do, it never goes away. There's a tummy tuck in my future.

Now that I think about it, I do get sharp, shooting pains "down there" when I lift heavy things. Must not bother me too much lol.

The only other thing is when I sneeze several times in a row I leak a little. Not enough to bother me or to get it "fixed". So I guess I got off lucky? 5 kids in 6 years and all I have is no boobs and a flab. I can live with that LOL.

I had an episiotomy (sp?) after ds1. It took YEARS to feel right down town, even after I had ds2, who's 13 months apart from ds1 (thank goodness I didn't need a repeat) I had a different OBGYN for ds2 and he said the 1st ob didn't do a good repair job and there was a small knot, which made doing 'it' very painful. He said the knot would eventually work itself out, and for a long time, I dreaded being intimate.

no real internal problems, but I've got the 2 csection pouch thing happening. I've also got about 20 lbs to lose.... 30 would be ok too And my 'girl's which were practically non-existent before kids have 2 years of breastfeeding to thank for their current 36B-ness.
