Diaper Deals question

How often do diaper deals occur?

Even if diapers aren't really cheap like free, should I still buy them if they are under 10 cents/diaper?

What's a good price for wipes?

I am trying to stockpile for February and I know have time, but after birth it might take me awhile to get going again, so I am trying to do it now.

I feel behind, so I'm not sure if I should rush out or not.

How often? I think that depends on how many different stores you have access to. The more stores, the more often you can take advantage of a deal.

I would say under 10 cents a diaper is a good deal. Here is how I look at it: what is the cheapest regular price on store brand diapers (or any diaper)? WalMart brand Parent's Choice is like $5.74 per jumbo pack (last time I looked...check the prices in your area). If I can get Pampers, Luvs, or Huggies for *under* that price, then it's a good deal (to me).

To me, Huggies are the best value in name brand diapers. They offer the most coupons, and a variety of stores offer deals on them. And the Caregiver's Marketplace rebate is great!

for wipes i think it is a .01 a wipe that is considered a good deal. Like pp said, it depends on the stores you have available and the deals they have going on, whether they double etc. I have gotten most wipes free or .25 a tub from kmart superdoubles and their one time triples. Also sign up for upromise, the money you get back isn't instant, but they have an ecoupons section that oftentimes includes huggies diapers. I also agree with pp, that huggies are the best value. Unless you lo ends up being allergic to them, they are the best way to go. There are better coupons/sales/promos/rebates for them compared to pampers. Also if you have target sometimes they have store coupons for diapers that can be combined with manufacturer coupons. Depending on what stores you have around, i have kmart, walmart, target, cvs, wags, and local/regional groceries, I see a good deal for diapers about every 3 months or so. if you have more stores, then you may see more deals.

For me, Huggies were the worst diapers. My son always leaked in them except for the Overnight ones. Even though there are lots of coupons out there for them it didn't work for our family. I actually gave all of the Huggies diapers that people gave me away or threw them away. I hated them. Pampers worked for us and then Luvs when he was older.

Huggies pull ups worked for us on the other hand and didn't really care for the Pampers pull ups. It just depends on the shape of your baby and what works best for your child.

I have never been able to get my diapers (Pampers or pull ups) for $.10 a diaper or less. The stores in my area have really inflated prices on their diapers and not very good sales. I was never able to get more than $1.50 or once in a while a $2 coupon on diapers. There seems to be much better valued coupons out nowadays. (Just in time for my new little one due on December 1st!) :)
