I am going to give a different angle on this one...

Do any home improvement projects NOW. Its REALLY hard to do with kids running around. Not to mention, things like that get pushed to the back burner a lot.

Also, if you have traveled a bit already... then stay home! TRUST ME... enjoy the quiet, relaxation of ur own space. You'll be thankful for it later.

Your girlfriend sounds exactly like my DH! We ride bicycles, motorcycles, motorcycles, etc. and he is certain that all of those activities will stop once we have a baby. I just figure it'll be like it was when my parents had my brothers and I... they probably slowed down a little but all of us were always included in all activities.

Thanks for the post!

Most can't do that, but it's better if you can.
I echo this.

You already got some great suggestions so I'll take it from another angle. I wish I had gotten myself in tip top physical shape- pregnancy really takes a lot out of me. And the other MAJOR thing I wish I would have done is truly informed myself of my childbirth rights and choices instead of relying on others to know my body better and make those choices for me. I wish I would have read:

The Thinking Woman's Guide to a Better Birth by Henci Goer

Amazon.com: The Thinking Woman's Guide to a Better Birth (0807728460402): Henci Goer, Rhonda Wheeler: Books

and

Birthing from Within by Pam England

Amazon.com: Birthing from Within: An Extra-Ordinary Guide to Childbirth Preparation (9780965987301): Pam England, Rob Horowitz: Books

I thought it was "foo-foo" and hippy reading before my first but it could have saved me a lot of struggling, emotionally and physically.

Oh and I agree with Tracy- life isn't over or put on hold once you have kids. Plus they do move out at some point, hopefully!

Taken a Hypnobabies Course.

Read and took to heart Teach your baby to read by Glenn Doman.

Paid off our debt.

Gotten my messiness under control.
