Prenatal Vitamins

My ob/gyn said that as long as I have 1 gram of Folic Acid, I can take otc vitamins. I take Nature Made multi vitamins & b vitamins to get the folic acid I need. I take 2 multi's and 1 b vitamin daily. I am also taking flaxseed and calcium. My doctor told me NOT to take the Fish oil vitamins.

I tried that yesterday when I went for my "new ob" appt. They said with the economy being what it is they've not see drug reps in a while with samples.

I found some Prenatal Flaxseed vitamins at a local store they were b1g1 free $9.99 for a 30 day supply. They had 2 left so I got 60 days for $9.99.

Darn! Sorry about that. I just had my baby 2 weeks ago and I was getting the free samples. I live in a Huge City that has not been that effected by the economy. :shrug7:

I used to take otc prenatals but they all made me violently ill so my doc prescribed StuartNatals. I like them, they give me a nice energy boost and don't upset my stomach at all.

I get mine at RiteAid for about $30/30 day supply...so not cheap but not too bad.

I've gotten free prenatal samples from the Dr. etc. tho I haven't used them yet. My Dr. had me start taking prenatals when I was trying to get pregnant. When I went to Meijer to fill them I paid $30.00 AFTER insurance for a 30 day supply. I obviously wasn't thrilled & asked them to call in something comparable but cheaper. When I went to pick them up it was one of Meijer's Free Prenatals that they offer. Every 30 days I go in & pick up my free prenatals now :) :) HTH

Good deal on some really awesome prenatals at Rite Aid!

This month Rite Aid has StuartNatals down for a $10 rebate!

So...

Roughly $30.00 for 100ct bottle -$5/25 =$27.00 (w/tax)

$27.00-10.00=$17.00 total or .17cents a pill.

They are really good vitamins too.

Oh! At my Rite Aid you do have to call and request them because they have to special order them...didn't cost anything extra just had to wait a day.

Being a vegetarian, I don't take any of the regular vitamins since I don't consume gelatin. One of the ladies on here recommended the ones I take: (I want to say it was PKChicken), I got mine online: DEVA Vegan Prenatals. I'll tell ya what....they rock! No morning sickness, no cravings, none of the usual stuff!! And I'm telling you...it's from these prenatals!!! Got my entire supply in one shot!!

I can't swallow pills whole so my OB/Gyn said to take a children's chewable multi-vitamin.
The store brand of these (Kroger @ Frys Food) was significantly cheaper per pill than ANY pre-natal.
Have a look into them & check with your OB about their suitability for you.
