Default Re: What is a good double stroller?

We opted to not to get one at all. We did the snap and go for the baby and the older child walked. I got a good carrier (ring sling, then a ergo) for the baby and got one good stroller that they both could ride in if we needed to- we opted for the maclaren quest b/c of the high weight limit. It has been a good solution for us. If my kids were closer in age, I would have gotten the maclaren twin tecno.

I have this one-- A Phil & Ted E3 Twin. I only paid $200 for it new, rather than the $500 it usually goes for, so in addition to being a wonderful stroller, it was actually even cheaper than a Graco.

I have a combi tandem stroller (not sure anymore what the design name is though), but I *LOVE* it. The reviews on it (after I had paid for it-I found reviews) were horrible, and I was very scared, but it's awesome. Light weight, easy to use, and it's SO EASY to steer. Much easier than the other double tandems we had tried.

I would prefer Combi Savvy stroller. It has a great feature, particularly when trying to catch two kids and prevent the stroller from falling over into a puddle..

YouTube - Combi Counterpart 2 Tandem Double Stroller

I found the one I have. Took me a while. It looks like they may have discontinued it, but I'm not sure. *shrug*

Default Re: What is a good double stroller?

i've got 3 double strollers at this point. the graco quattro duo, jeep wrangler umbrella and the bob revolution duallie.

i hated the graco which is why i got the others. it was soooo heavy to push, weighs a thousand lbs to lift and wasn't a very comfortable ride for the kids. DD is very tall (41") and she is too tall for the sun shades. it was very bumpy going around the neighborhood, forget the zoo or an amusement park.

i love, love, love the bob. it folds smaller than the graco, pushes like a dream (you would never know i was pushing 28 lbs & 40 lbs) and actually fits through normal doorways.

if we are going to be in really tight areas though i will just put DS in the chicco umbrella and DD gets to walk (granted she is very well behaved).

we've only had the jeep for a couple of weeks. i bought it used at a consignment store and it did its job going through the airports over the holidays. i had read horrible reviews about the seat fabric tearing but i haven't seen that yet.

so hands down i recommend the BOB. well worth the $$$$'s.

I have been using a Phil and Teds E3. Awesome stroller because I was able to tote 2 within the space of one traditional stroller. VERY easy to get around. Id recommend it to anyone. No cons that I can think of. I just listed mine on Craigslist tho b/c my youngest is 3 now and we just dont use it anymore.

ETA I have the lower profile E3 with the jump seat.
