He averages about 6-8 hrs of sleep a day. *sigh* No matter what we do he won't go down till midnight, 1 am and is up usually around 7:30am - 8:30 am... every.... single.... day..... has been this way for what seems like FOREVER!!!

As for the girls who are 8 1/2 yrs & 6 yrs, on a school night, bedtime is around 8pm and they get up at 6:45 am for the bus. During the wkends and when school is out, bedtime is usually around 9:30pm, occasionally a little later.

My DD who is also 3.5 is the same way! No naps and doesn't really fall asleep until at least midnight. I'm lucky though because she doesn't usually wake up until between 10am and noon

My kids are almost 2 and 4.

They get up around 7:00. They share a room, so they usually wake up at the same time.

Nap time for the 2 year old/quiet time for the 4 year old is at 1:00. I get the older one up after 1 - 1.5 hours since he doesn't sleep anymore. The younger one sleeps 2-3 hours.

Bedtime is at 7:45.

My DD2 is 18 months old, bedtime is around 9:00, she gets up between 9 and 10, takes a nap around 12:30 and naps for about 2 hours.

DD1's bedtime is about 9:00, and she gets up around 7:00 am.

My daughter just turned 1 this month and for the first 7 mo. neither of us slept much! I was finally able to get her on somewhat of a schedule although SHE decides the days she is going to stick to it! I try to get her down at night between 8pm-10pm depending on how late she has her afternoon nap. She wakes up between 7am-9am and her nap time is anytime between 12-2pm and lasts anywhere between just a half hour to 2 hours. She is a light sleeper so if a mower starts up outside or anything she wakes up early and it is impossible to get anything done when she is sleeping.

My twins are just over 2 (25 months) and here is their schedule:

Wake up - 6:00 am (unless the nanny is there and those boogers sleep until 7:00)
nap - they go down at 12:30 but play until 1:00 or 1:30 - then we wake around 3:00/3:30 to perserve bedtime. 2-2 1/2 hours is max for naptime.

Bedtime is between 7:30 - 8:00 depending on the nap and their 'tudes.

Having twins meant for me a schedule. I just don't know how I would have survived without one. Now that baby #3 is on his way I am all about perfecting the twins' schedule!

Thanks for all the info guys! So nap time at 12:30 is pretty "normal" then i guess. LOL. I love nap time....i call it "me time" because its the only time I can get anything done. I had the twins on a schedule ever since the were born. I did my research and found that a schedule was best. They ate at certain times and slept at certain times. Having them do everything at the same time made things better. I am glad to have gotten everyones input!!

I sure do miss nap times!! My kids are 7 and 10. They go to bed at 10 on school nights and get up at 8 am. On weekends they go to bed later.

I think 12:30 for nap is pretty normal. DS heads to nap right after lunch, and sometimes it's that early. I agree a schedule is so beneficial.

DD, 3 1/2 wakes up at 730, no nap, bed at 8pm.
DS, 18 months, wakes up at 730, nap from 1-3:30 give or take, bed at 8 pm.

My son who is 14 months old goes to bed at 7:30pm and has a nap around 12:30 or about three hours roughly from the time he wakes up. He sleeps around 2-3 hrs at nap time.

Me and my dh both work at home so we are up late and sleep a little late. I get up at 9am with my dd and then she goes and takes her nap at around 1:30-2. She sleeps until sometimes 4-5pm. Lately she's been taking a 2 hour nap. Her bedtime is around 10pm. Except tonight she didn't want to sleep and was playing in her bed until about 11:30pm. My sister said i'm going to kick myself when she starts school because she won't want to wake up in the morning, but I figure once she starts school I'll put her to bed early as well as myself if I have to get up at that time and she puts her kids to bed at 8pm and has a lot of trouble getting them up in the morning.

My belief is what works for you works for you.
