You know your a hard-core couponer when....

My DD 5 always will ask for stuff and when I say "no" she will say.is it b/c it's not on sale and you don't have a coupon. And of course I say yes and its way too expensive.. 2 days ago I was at my local grocery store which has a "cookie card" you buy one for 1.00 (gets donated to charity) and everytime you come in you get a free cookie. Well of course they are just the chocolate chip and pb ..just reg cookies. As we were waiting on the girl to bring the cookies over she pointed to one of the flipflop ones decorated in the case for 1.50. She said can I get one of those.. and I said no and she said.. you don't have coupons for those? you have tons of coupons at home mom and the girl just started busting up laughing..
then..we were getting pickles for like the 5th time during that sale and shes so loud when she talks and shes like mom.. how many pickles are you going to buy.. you have tons at home ..why do you buy so many... and ppl are just starring at me ..i just laugh.. what can you do?

Your college age son calls you and says he wants to cook dinner tonight for him and his girlfriend and wants to know what he can get free/cheap with coupons at Publix. Or "Mom, I want to fix this, do you have coupons for it?"

my 18 yr old daughter asks for coupons when she does any of her own shopping! shes a future couponhead i can see it now...she marvels over our stockpile and always listens to my deals i got and acts like she is interested and excited too ( i wonder if she is just amusing me but thats ok) and we have tried every new beauty product out there...our hair smells fresh and our skin is wonderful lol

Just be glad it was pickles. I shop at the commissary and use the $3/1 KY and $4/1 Monistat to get alittle over a dollar overage on each one. Well, I will trade and order as many as I can get my hands on and everytime I go to the commissary I will buy some of each to help bring down the cost of my groceries. I do try and walk by quickly to grab them and move on and if there are too many people around, I will swing back around. Well, my DD made her last trip there with me when she was walking ahead of me and from the other end of the isle with what felt like a million people around and yelled "MOM, how many KY Jelly and Monistat do you want me to get?" Well, I tried to act like I did not know her, but once she realized I was embarrassed, she yelled again louder... so I will take pickles over KY any day. But I must say, I am proud of DD, cause she is 11 and hunts for deals with me and rounds up all the coupons she can find. Kids, gotta love em!

DH thinks I am hardcore...(I don't think I am quite there)...anyway he thinks this because last time we were at the store I only saved $40 - I wasn't that thrilled. I could have done better.

my 2 girls are blinkie pullers. they both get excited when they see the little machines. i try to make sure they only see the ones i know aren't too good, because if you are by the little machine too long, you can't get them away.
my 4 year old likes to ask if we have coupons for certain things that she wants, and if we are getting certain things free when she sees me pulling out my coupons. i think its adorable. they like to collect blinkies and then give them to the cashier. if i get a funny look, i just tell them they are trying to help me :) usually they are super great and will take them and put them by their register to "scan" to make my girls happy.

Last week DD (3.5) grabbed one of the magazines I keep for her to look at (Oriental Trading I think) and scissors and started cutting out "coupons" for all the things she wanted in there.

In our house they are called poo-cons ( 2yo) and my kids vi for shopping with me, so we take turns. My 17yo has her own CVS card now and she doesnt even drive LOL. My husband used to be the one walking behind me in the store saying * Another Toothpaste ?!? Dont you have enuf already?* but my kids are really good about not embarassing mama. I took my 6yo with me yesterday to Dillons and CVS. She loved picking out the flavors for DH's powerade and you know...... my experience is that bringing one of the cute little kids with you always makes for a more pleasant exchange with the cashiers
