I'm so excited! I had my 3 hour glucose tolerance test today and I'm not a diabetic! I passed this one with flying colors! To celebrate, DH and I went out and bought some diapers, a diaper bag and the paint for the baby's room, lol. (We were going to get them anyway, but it just felt like a victory celebration, hehe!)

Just by 2 points? Wow. I bet you'll pass the next one. :) I failed the 1 hour by 26 points last week. I've been really worried about it because my mom had gestational diabetes and diabetes runs in my family anyway.
But yeah, you gotta do what you gotta do. Anything that gets that baby here happy and healthy is worth it. :)

Yeah I ate all day too and did the test at like 4pm....why don't they just do a fasting test to start instead of the eat all day then take it thing.

My dr never said I should take it in the am, and she TOLD me to eat something! LOL...then when I failed it, she told me all of this! LOL I swear, they do it just to see how far they can push a pregnant woman!! My sister is going to have to take one...she is just gonna love it! LOL

Hmmm. For my first test, my appointment was at 7:45am and they told me not to eat or drink anything after 5:45am that morning. Once I got there, they told me I could have plain water while I waited after I drank the orange stuff, but that was it.
My mom was telling me that back when she had it in the 80s (she's had a few of these tests just from being a diabetic) that there was one time they wanted her to eat something like 3 pancakes, 2 eggs, bacon, toast and drink orange juice before she went in. She thought it was odd that they wanted me to fast for 2 hours, lol. For the 3 hour test, though, my appointment was at 7:45am again and I couldn't have anything after midnight the night before.
