I understand what you are talking about. I moved an hour away from my friends, and miss out on a lot, and now that I'm pregnant, very little invites come. But, I do talk to them all the time. It can be hard to handle. The best thing I can say, is just ask them how come you weren't invited. Not asking is just going to drive you crazy. I would just word it right: "OMG, looks like you guys had so much fun, wish I could have been there!! (laugh at that,,,then...) Hey....how come I wasn't there?" Just put some humor in it. Well, that;s how I would handle it, but not everyone is like me! lol

Thanx DW ! It was pretty cool to see! And I THINK, I felt the baby move last night. I was sitting w/ my leg up, and all of a sudden I felt this like ....rolling around, in the same spot that they did the sonogram. I just kinda looked down, and asked "Is that you moving around?" Was thinking, b/c of how I was sitting the poor kid was saying "MOM...um...hello......you're squishing me" so, I switched positions! LOL

I called one of my friends last night and asked. She said that the originial plan was to go bar hopping, but at the last minute didn't and decided to go to our favorite mall instead and figured that by that time it was too late to call and ask if I wanted to come. I don't really buy that, because they used to call all the time with last-minute plans, but at least it's a semi-plausible explanation, and she assured me that next time I'll be invited. Oh well, I'm not going to stress over it anymore. I really won't have too much time to hang out after this little one is born anyway.
Oh, and BTW Courtney- you're baby looks so cute! Thanks for sharing the picture!
Okay, I'm changing the subject to something happier, and a little silly:
Irrational Moments as a Pregnant Woman
Do any of you (especially you other first-time moms) have irrational freak-out moments about stupid things? OR, do you wake-up in the middle of the night with this idea in your head of the ONE thing you have to do as a parent, and if you don't, your child is ruined forever?
Example: Last night (or this morning) I woke up at 4:40am with this thought: "Cupcakes." You know how, in elementary school, there was always the one mom who made cupcakes for EVERYTHING? During the school year, she'd come in and the teacher would say "This is Molly's mom and she brought us Christmas cupcakes!" or "This is Molly's mom, and she brought us cupcakes to celebrate Molly's birthday!" And all the kids would be happy and Molly would be loved throughout the year, because of her mom's famous, and yummy, cupcakes. Well, this morning, I woke up in a cold sweat at 4:40am, because I have not yet learned how to make cupcakes. And I was convinced (again at 4:40am) that I am going to be a terrible mom and the world is going to hate my child because his/her mom cannot make cupcakes.
And I know that I'm not going to be a horrible mom, and that I have plenty of time to learn how to make cupcakes, but I was just wondering if anyone else had these crazy/irrational moments.
Today I get a call from the doctors office saying that I am anemic and they are putting me on iron pills. If don't know about yall but whenever I take iron pills I get constipated, now I am already there with that but the dr said that prenatal vitamins that she has me on will help. I was the same way with one of my other kids and it was horrible, not being able to use the bathroom w/o pain. So my friends suggested that I try drinking some prune juice to help out. I've never had that before, have any of you ever tried it. I dont' want to go from not being able to go to using it constantly, been there done that and it wasn't pretty.
Regbyandjulie, I've never had a dream like that, but I have had some steamie ones and it didnt involve DH. When I was pregnant with my other kids I had dreams about other men. It wasnt something that happend all the time, but i happened often. I don't know why it happens but it does. I don't have desires for them, I just dream (should I say....have nightmares) about them. Has anyone else been there done that before.![]()

My dr said I can use colace for constipation..... could you try something like that?
They also told me metamucil, green leafy veggies, lots and lots of water. Of course that does nothing for me when I just throw it up anyways!!!!
