Denise ~ Good thing I'm a vegetarian!!! LOL For me, these last few days have been the worst. Baby is down so long, that when I stand up, my inner thigh right by my groin HURTS, rolling over....hurts, and the other day it felt like I pulled my groin area on the right side....it hurt so bad!! OMG!!

I know that I won't burn sitting out there as I have been out in the sun all summer long and have a really good tan!! I've just been so damn busy the last 2 weeks, that I haven't had a chance to get out there!!

I'm so ready to have this baby out!!! I want my body back!! LOL......it's mine!! (isn't it????)

BF and I have a few little things to do tonight, but nothing crazy (whew). Tmw, I have to run to SR to hit the 3 day special and pick up some flounder for when my mom is here!! Right now we have a ton of people that want to come and see the baby when we all get home.........told him and our friends that the only person I want here the first day, is him and my mom! No one else. After that, no one is coming to see me, just the baby.....so they can come over and I can sleep (mom will be here!!) LOL.....at least I hope I can sleep!

I am going in for my 4th c-section so I know what its like to have multiple ones. My dr. is trying to get me to have my tubes tied after this one so that I wont have to have another c-section, but I don't think that will be happening. She suggested it cuz of the scar tissue, but I was watching a c-section video on the internet this weekend and they were asking the dr. questions. And one of the questions was how many c-sections can one person have and she said there is no set number but after about the 3rd or 4th they start frowning upon them, but its pretty much up to the patient. My previous dr said he performed 6 on one lady. So I say go for it, cuz we are definitely going for more kids like we've planned (2 to be exact) totaling 6 kids all together. Once you've had a c-section you know what to expect, its not a big surprise to know that they want you to be able to pass gas and be able to walk around before you leave the hospital. The actual cut after it heals is not that noticeable if your dr does a good job or sewing you back up

I'm asking just as general curiosity b/c I'm going to ask my doctor at my 6 week PP check-up how long I should wait before having another baby. DH and I want to start trying for number two next summer, but I guess I just want to know if I should be concerned in case I accidentally get pregnant before then or if I need to be super aggressive about making sure we're using some kind of birth control.

They are 2 and 3 years apart. I hope you are not having engagements now you are still recovering Good luck with your big family, I know I still will try for my big one.

Butting in here....
My drs told me they like you to wait at least a year before getting preggo again. After #3 was born we stopped using any BC when she was 3 months old. It took us 27 months to get pregnant w/#4. With #2, we stopped when she was 6 months old. It took us about 35 months to get pregnant w/#3. And w/#2 it took me 4 years and 8 months to get pregnant w/her. My fertility drs told me that I'd never get pregnant w/o fertiltiy drugs (We've truly been blessed!). I tried them and they didn't work for me and we couldn't afford anything more than clomid back when we were trying for #2. So, for us, we don't listen to the drs as far as trying to NOT get pregnant. I have crappy fertility, and as you can see, it takes me a loooong time to get pregnant. If we were planning on #5, which we aren't, we'd stop "preventing" by the time #4 was 6 months old.

We've decided that 4 is all for us, unless of course, by some miracle another one just happens. I don't see that happening, though. Hubby's way too responsible at times. LOL Hubby's gonna get fixed sometime after Gavin is 6 months old. I know it sounds awful, but I want to wait until he's past the SIDS stage before hubby gets fixed.


So, more than likely if you accidently get preggo, it's not gonna be a big deal. Your drs can offer you advice and what they think is best, but in the end, it's a choice between you and your hubby WHEN to try for another one.

Edited to add: hubby and I have spent less than a year total in our almost 13 year marriage (will be 13 on 9/6) trying to NOT get pregnant. So after Gavin comes it'll be all different for us....trying to NOT get pregnant.
I'm sad that this is my last one, that I'll never go thru another pregnancy, and I'll probably have tons of emotional problems when it's time for hubby to get fixed. Ever since I had Lauren, who's 15, I've only ever wanted to be a mother and have more kids. It makes me teary eyed just thinking that that phase of my life is gonna be over after October. Now I have my self crying. :sad: It's hard to say it's the end after trying so many years and going thru so much emotional crap to get pregnant in the first place. But, I know that this has to be it for us. I just pray that God gives me the strenght to accept this and to be able to not be a crazy, emotional person when it's finally "permanent."

BF and I enjoyed our last night of peace and quiet....ever!! I slept well, minus his snoring!! I have run all my last minute errands and even hit the 4 day sale at SR!! LOL.....Now, I have my suntan lotion on, my bathing suit and I am going to sit outside and just completely relax before we have to leave for the hospital!! LOL. No, I'm not worried about getting pregnant at this exact moment, but it's going to come up in the next couple weeks. DH and I want to wait a year before trying again (time for me to either get a raise or find a new job plus save up some money so I can take an extended maternity leave), but one never knows. I knew some ladies in my July Birth club on Baby Center that just had babies and are already pregnant again, which I can't even imagine. I'm definitely still not 100%, but I'm doing well since I've been eating healthily and have been taking vitamins. Just waiting on the all-clear from the doctor so I can go back to exercise.

after a csection you are supposed to wait 12 months before trying for another baby so your body can completely heal.

I got preggo again right before my ds 1st bday, miscarried and then it took me another 4ish months to get preggo again.

I went yesterday to the Dr, he said I'm only 20% healed after 1 week.....weird b/c I feel pretty good (on pills, haha). Today is my 1st day alone w/the kiddos and I've only had to pick up my 2yr old once.

Those having back to back pregnancies on your baby board are insane!!!! Crazy ladies........ Who wants to have sex that fast after popping out a baby?? geeeez
