Hi all just checking in to see how everyone is doing today. I am doing great, baby is doing a lot of moving and I'm excited to know that after my next Wednesday's appointment I will be starting my 2 weeks visits. I can't believe I am almost to my due date. This has been one of the hottest summers that I can remember and I'm still alive Hey this hibernation thing really works. Who would've known that you can actually learn something from an animal.

Went in to the dr this week...and they are now "unsure" of the gender. ??? The baby was positioned in a tight ball, so they couldn't see what they needed to, to confirm gender. UGH. Otherwise though, they said everything looks good, healthy and normal.
I'm 5 months now. It moves constantly!! I've gained 8 lbs. And I'm sooooo tired all of the time. I've started having more intense cramping and now back pain. The doctor's explanation was I am thin and carrying low-so that must be why I hurt so much. Ugh... Not so sure I buy it... Sometimes it takes me breath away literally. For the most part I'm doing okay and surviving...this is just a completely different pregnancy and I'm grumpy.
Just wanted to let everyone know I have my baby! Zia joined us August 3rd, at 10:01 pm 7 lbs 2 oz 18 inches long at 37 weeks due to me having pre-eclampsia. We are doing well, she initially lost some weight because we are breastfeeding, but we supplemented with formula and we are back on track. We get to leave the hospital tomorrow YAY!

I've been staying home, not just from the heat but lack of money. I'm sure it's no where near as hot here in Central PA as it is in Texas, though. I keep the central air on almost all day....my 15 year old complains that it's cold in here. When I do go to wal-mart or something, I swear they have the AC turned down cause I can barely stand it there. It's way too hot and I complain the whole time I'm there! LOL
I start going every two weeks now. My next appt is Tuesday for week 30. I'm grumpy, crabby, tired, and flat out annoyed....at everyone and everything. :shrug7: I can NOT wait till the kids go back to school, but that's not until Sept 2nd. Of all the years they decide to make them go back later, it HAD to be this year. Although, it's not really my school aged kids that are giving me a hard time, it's the 3 year old.
Tomorrow is my baby shower. I SO did not want my mom to have one for me, but she pestered me about it, so I gave in. This is the first boy in my hubby's immediate family in 24 years! His nephew turns 24 next week.
I had my 36 week appointment today and start going in every week from now on. My baby is still breech so on Tuesday the doc is going to try to turn the baby. He pushed a little on me today and was able to move the baby quite a bit but it made me pretty sore. I've also started dialating and am 50% effaced. I hope they'll be able to turn the baby so I can try to go as naturally as possible. I was induced with DD b/c I was 38 weeks, 3-4 cm and 90% effaced without ever feeling a single contraction. My mom (an OB-GYN nurse) told me I was a walking liability. Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well. Take care of yourselves and your babies.

Hi ladies~ Congrats to: JOSKYPAY and her little one!! Keep us updated!!
I am 11 days away from my due date, and I'm exhausted today! BF and I have been painting and both have been very busy w/ friends and other things....we are both dead on our feet right now.......I'm taking it easy, and taking tons of breaks, but I swear that I saw a family of slugs pass me by the other day ...that's how slow I am moving!! LOL
Dr appt on Tuesday, and hopefully checking for effacement / dilation and all that "fun" stuff.
Baby's movements have slowed down drastically withing the last week or so....but when he or she moves...OMG.....it feels like every organ in my body is being hit!! LOL
Glad to hear everyone is doing well!!

My first daughter was breech.. at 36 weeks my dr told me to spend as much time on my hands and knees as possible (think mopping the kitching floor) I guess its to help the baby turn.... well it did not work.
At 38 weeks she said "fine, I will move her!"
She covered my whole tummy with ultrasound jelly and her hands and arms, and honestly climbed up on a chair/table with me.. and and rubbed her hands and arms on my tummy in a circle...
Well.. it worked.. but it hurt rather bad! She did flip around head first.. but I was very uncomfortable and sore for days! Not to mention really slimy until I could shower!

I had my 32 week check up & an ultrasound last week. She is doing great & scored an 8 of 8 on the test they were doing. I go in every week from now on & they will be doing an ultrasound at every visit. This coming Friday they are going to measure to see how big they think she is. I've gotten past the initial annoyance that I have to have weekly ultrasounds (& pay 20% of the cost after insurance) when there is nothing wrong with me or baby- it's just that I am 35 & having my first baby... It's neat to see her & my Dr.s office also does the 4D so I really get to see her. his past week was my first ultrasound in about 10 weeks- she has changed so much. They buzzed my belly with something to wake her up & when they did you could see her eyes open & her mouth open. So neat! I was thinking I would really tip the scales this time but I didn't. The last 2 monthly appointments I had gained 6 pounds each time. This time after 3 weeks I'd only gained 2! So 23 pounds so far. Not bad- except I had packed some pounds before getting preggo too.
I know that I am no longer pregnant, but thought I'd give an update. Our little 2lb 12 oz and 30 week preemie peanut is a rockstar! She has been breathing all on her own for a few days, her bilirubin level is back down to normal, and she's been tolerating food by her feeding tube in her mouth pretty good! Last night we got to hold her for the first time, and it was AWESOME!!!! :)
