My husband is unemployed with no hope in sight and really isn't that great at keeping a job anyway. I am working full time, but not with great pay so I have turned to couponing, which has been amazing but I find myself stocking up on toothpaste and things of that nature and have NO clue how people stockpile such incredible amounts of food, diapers, and wipes. Anyway, my husband is not too thrilled to say the very least and has said he will leave. I am stressed...Preggo and thinking at least a few weeks along so not feeling well and can't stop crying about it!!! I dont really know what to do, but I needed to tell someone. Sorry again and thank you for listening! | First of all I just want to say congrads on the news of a new baby on the way. Children are such a blessing from God. I hope that everything works out for you and your family. Please don't stress out about everything cause it will do more harm then good. It is ok to post in this thread, this is the preggo/baby thread to post away anything about your pregnancy from nagging spouses aches and pain to pregnancy complications. We are here to offer help, advice and be a listening ear. Feel free to ask any questions, if we can answer trust me us HCW ladies will do just that.

apparently this old woman that comes into the store he works at and is friendly with him and used to be a nurse, but has never had a child of her own, told him it is not good. so, he believes her.
so all I hear when he is home and she wants to BF is "thats not good for her, you need to stop" I got sick and its "because you are still BFing"
well know what my OBGYN knows I still BF and I'm sure if there was anything wrong with it they would have told me to stop. No, instead they told me to supplement my diet which I am doing. I know "they" say that nipple stimulation (such as pumping, and I'm sure, BFing) can cause contractions - but that is only if the baby is ready to be born anyways. and so far, I'm 32/33 weeks with no contractions/ Braxton Hicks. also never had any with DD and had to be induced(no natural contracting/ braxton hicks). so, if I get any contracting, I'll contact my OBGYN and find out FROM THEM if it would be the right thing to do to stop BFing DD but I am so sick of this, I've been hearing it for months now and just needed to let that out. I figured this was the more appropriate thead than HUTC. thanks for listenng! | I guess our DH's think they are being helpful when they come home and tell us these RIDICULOUS ideas they hear from other people. Just keep telling him that the doctor says it's okay, and hopefully he'll realize that if a DOCTOR says it's okay, it's okay.

Sorry again and thank you for listening! | Well, you certainly didn't get pregnant by yourself, and babies are always a blessing so I don't know why he's bent out of shape about it. I think that's wonderful news, and (forgive me for saying this as I know it's not my place) I also think that your husband needs some straightening out if he's talking about leaving you with a child and another on the way.
I am in the same boat- my DH lost his job right before we found out we were pregnant and I'm working full-time, so believe me when I say I know how stressful it is to be pregnant and feel that the whole well-being of your family is on your shoulders. Try not to stress out, it's not good for anyone. If you need any help- extra coupons, and such, please reach out to us here, I know you'll find so many generous people. I've been blessed in that members here have sent me extra coupons when I've been in need.
Make sure you go to the doctor and take care of yourself. Do you have a friend or a family member that can stay with you for a couple days? I think that might help you cope with the situation.

| Re: I'm Pregnant, so who else is too. Ok, I have to say "THANK YOU" for this thread. I have known for almost a week now that we are expecting #6, but we aren't telling yet. We've had some m/c issues over the last 9 months, and would rather wait. THIS WAITING STUFF IS TOUGH!!! I'm hoping by being able to chat here, it won't be as hard. We have a son who just graduated from HS, one who's 15, a daughter 13, a son 10, and a daughter 2. They all have NO IDEA! I'm trying very hard to keep the mood swings to a minimum. After the last baby, one of our much older kids asked if now that the baby was born did that mean there wouldn't have to be anymore Pre-Pardom Agression episodes!:shrug7:
Ok, enough rambling, but Thanks for letting me share my exciting news.

DH and I tried for 2 full years before we conceived DD so I know it's hard.
keep your eyes open for deals on diapers (my buy price is 4.50/jumbo pack) and wipes (I go for free on those, or do meter deals and use the RR/ECB from those to get them basically free.) if you are formula feeding of course look for formula deals but know that your baby might be intolerant to certain types. go right away and sign up for the baby maoilers - there is a list somewhere here! if breastfeeding, and pumping look for deals on milk storage bags they are expensive.... keep your eyes for clearance on sippy cups, I love the Nuby ones. I breasfeed and always found breastmilk to work great for rashes so never used diaper creams, and I dont use lotion - I use EV olive oil from the kitchen instead. you'll need baby wash/washcloths. If you have a publix sign up for their baby club they send great coupons! have your family and friends sign up too and send you the coupons!! |
