I am very anxiously awaiting baby #1. I'm 18 weeks pregnant and it's been awful, LOL. Seriously though, it could be worse I guess, but I'm still having morning sickness and as of last week, I've lost 20 lbs so far during this pregnancy. Luckily, I can stand to lose some weight, but it's unsettling to be so much smaller (even though my tummy is not getting any smaller).
My cravings are mostly Chipotle chicken fajita burritos and chicken & broccoli from the local Chinese food place.
I find out next Thursday if I'm having a boy or a girl. I'm kind of hoping for a girl, BUT my husband really wants a boy (if we have a boy, it will be a big deal b/c this will be the first grandson for his parents), so it really doesn't matter. Good luck with your pregnancies ladies!!
I'm 12 weeks along with baby #2. Still feeling horrible. Sick to my stomach 24/7 and physically sick almost everyday. I feel terrible throughout the day but it's worst in the evenings. I hope this goes away soon. I was sick with my DD alot too but this pregnancy has been completely different. With DD I had to eat constantly b/c I had that extremely intense hunger and food tasted pretty good. I gained 7 lbs by 12 weeks with her. This time around I eat when I'm hungry but nothing sounds good to eat and everything leaves a horrible taste in my mouth. And if I do happen to have a craving it's usually for fast food which sucks b/c we live 30 minutes from town so I end up finding something else to eat. The only things that taste good are oranges and water. Sweets and soda are very unappealing. I've lost 2 lbs so far with this baby. I'm on so many meds it seems just to get me through the day. It wasn't this way with DD. I just finished a round of antibiotics for a sinus infection and am on Zyrtec-D b/c I am so congested and have so much drainage (which contributes to my upset stomach). My OB/GYN says it's okay for me to take Zyrtec-D b/c I have a nice low blood pressure and have never had any problems with high blood pressure. I can't breath through my nose a majority of the time so I have bleeding, cracked, dry lips and a sore throat frequently. I was on anti-nausea/vomiting meds but they didn't work so I stopped taking them. I have to take 2 Colace per day plus eating prunes b/c of constipation and I'm never far away from my Tums. I'm also taking a pre-natal vitamin but that's a given. I've started taking my pre-natals right before I go to bed so that way I keep it down and get all the nutrients from them. Besides, there is nothing worse that vitamin flavored bile. With all of that being said, I am happy and feel very blessed to be pregnant again.

Great thread! I'm pregnant with a miracle #3 after 5 miscarriages. "Praise the LORD" I'm 29 weeks pregnant and due May 11th. I have been nauseated the whole pregnancy and a burning sensation in my throat that doesn't seem to go away. I'm so emotional and angry it's riduculous. My husband and two children are catching it. I can cry a whole day like this past Wednesday I cried because I felt insecure at times like my husband is going to leave me or cheat on me. Before I got pregnant I had just lost 70 lbs on weight watchers then bam I'm pregnant which I'm not at all mad about we was trying. But I finally enjoyed a summer wearing a size 8 compared to size 18-20. I'm doing better this week. I need to wash all of my sons old clothes and get the crib up and buy alot of stuff (stroller/w car seat) breast pump. Stock up on wipes and add to my stockpile of diapers. My husband travels for work and he hasn't been home in about 3 weeks so that could be wearing on me to. All in all I'm doing good :)

I lost 85 lb before I got pregnant with #1, a year before we started trying, I was 228 lb and a size 18. I lost 85 lb in 2 years time and got down to 142 lb and a size 6-8. I spent a year tring to gain weight, 2 years TTC. I was so happy to get pregnant because I realized I had lost too much weight for my frame and I hadnt been able to gain weight back, I was happiest when I was about 160 and about a size 10. Then when I got pregnant I was so sick and lost weight and thought I would never gain any! Finally did gain the weight for the pregnancy but still wore the same jeans(unbuttoned towards the end) even to the hospital, all the weight I gained while pregnant went to my belly. After I had her food tasted so good again and I couldnt control myself and besides, everyone says you lose weight while breastfeeding (dangit, you guys!!!!). Of course they also say BFing acts as a birth control(to some extent), well..... I got pregnant again when she was 7 months old (she just turned 11 months today)<we werent trying *not to*>, and I have been up to 200 lb (gained 23 lb since I gave birth) and a size 14 since she was probably about 4 months. so I am sure by the time I have this baby I will be all the way back up to my high weight of 228. *sigh* I havent weighed myself since I've been pregnant this time, I've been eating but still wearing the same size 14 jeans.
I am so happy that everyone is sharing their experiences with pregnancy. Some of you gals are going through more than I could ever imagine, but we are strong women and we always make a great comeback.

I am 9 weeks along with baby number 4 and I have been sick as a dog. About 2 weeks ago the whole family (except for me) seemed to come down withthe flu after having house guests. While I was able to care for my boys 5 and 6 and my husband I wasnt able to do much in the way of resting. I have suffered from all day nasuea. I go on thursday to my 1st dr appt. I am hoping this is just a passing thing from not getting much rest. We shall see.
We miss you Orion. Your smile remains with us. September 3, 2006- December 14, 2006.
I am due April 30, my third boy! Almost 8 months now, and the fatigue has really set in (which full time school and a sick baby are not helping!). I had the really bad morning sickness, and migraines at the beginning (with all my pregnancies), and am thankful that is gone! We were hoping for a girl, but I am relieved, because I saved all my stuff from my second child (he is almost 2), so I am really pretty set! With the first child it was really nice, because my twin sister had a baby (she has 3 boys too), 8 months before me, so she handed everything down to me, then after I was done, she had a another boy, so I handed it right back to her, and that has how it has worked for us, definitely money saving! I am thankful this time I am not gaining huge amounts of weight, my second child was 6 lb 10oz and when I left the hospital I was only 5 lbs lighter!
I'm 7 months along with #2...we also have a 10 month old DS and it's getting TOUGH to keep up with him, I'm exhausted!
DS has multiple (serious) food protein allergies, so I'm keeping away from most of the foods he's allergic to plus a few others since the allergist said it would give the baby the best chance to escape allergies. I hope it works! My blood pressure has been wonky the past couple of months (DS was induced for pre-ecclampsia) and the baby is measuring large so I'm a little nervous.
It's a boy! We're naming him after DH. I also think this will be our last baby since pregnancies are so tough for us.
This thread could not have come at a better time!! Thank you for posting it! I am pregnant w/ my first child (in the 4th month) and *knock on wood* was only nausea for a bit, although waffles and syrup made me make a run for the bathroom and just stand there....UGH. I suffer from migraines to begin with and now they are worse. Anyone know what that is all about? As for cravings....I can't say that I am aware that I have had them (yet). I've always had cravings for foods at odd times to begin with ....so now I have no idea if it's me, or the baby. I seem to have developed "super hearing" as my BF's snoring is now drilling through my head, and I sleep w/ ear plugs....UGH......
I'm in the process of trying to find a real doctor as I have been dealing with a clinic in my area and I am not happy with them there at all!
If anyone happens to know of a good one in the Forked River/Manahawkin/Toms River, NJ area, please let me know. I am in search of a female, and without an accent...ONLY b/c I have a horrible time understanding accents, especially when it comes to something that I have NO idea about!
I am so happy this thread is here!!

Shortstack411 April 30th my DD b-day so that day will be perfect.
Hi ladies, I went in for my first dr appt today and there is only one in there. I am on track with my weeks (6) and due date is officially 10/19. I was so happy to see the little heartbeat that looked like a little grain of sand Since I've had 3 previous c-sections she suggested that I have the baby 2 weeks in advance of that date or if I go into labor before hand she would do an emergency c-section. I've always wanted a large family (6 kids to be exact) but from the way she's talking I might have to stop at #4, which is fine with me. I'm starting to get older (like I can help that) and I want to be able to enjoy my retirement age (DH & I) w/o children in the house.
After I had my 3 third child I either sold or gave away all the baby stuff that I've gotten over the past 6 years. So now I have to start all over again buying everything. Thank goodness for consignment shops and yard sales. I love finding good deals on little baby clothes, with a good washing they are like new. Who else shops at these types of places for their little ones. One thing I definitly would not buy used is the car-seat. I read that it could be dangerous to buy one used, cuz you don't know if they've been in an accident or not.
What are y'all thought on a baby shower for a 4th time expectant mother :shrug7: My friend asked me how I felt about having one for. I told her I didn't mind, since we are in a different state that only people that we've met since being here will be at it. DH and I family live 6 hrs and more away, so I know they wont be coming.
Please everyone tell me what you think.
