Re: Pregnancy Weight Gain As another big girl, I can tell you, just do the best you can. Don't go nuts with "eating for two" or living on ice cream and you'll be fine. I think I came in right around 15-20 lbs on my first mostly because I had so many food aversions. I pretty much lived on turkey and jack cheese on a french roll with just mayo and cranberry sandwiches from the Safeway deli.
On my second I had really severe morning (noon, night) sickness from the day after I peed on stick until 2 days after she arrived. Had to take medication for it, had bronchitis, yada, yada. Anyway, I was 6lbs below my starting weight when she was born (not a good thing, even if you're overweight to start).
So, just do the best you can. Try to pick a healthier food when you can. Try to only have one "junk" food when you'd usually have 2, etc. After that, it is what it is.
