Stupid sizing on baby clothing.

I cannot believe that I already have to wash all of the 6 month clothing. It's for 12.5-16.5 lbs, and DH got on the scale with him last night-- 13 lbs!!! He's also 24.5 inches long.

Some of the smaller stuff still fits, as long as it's 2 pieces. The 3 month sleepers, however, are going to have to be packed away. He's just too long for them.

The kid is 7 weeks old, for God's sake. LOL

I'm in that boat. She's 5 months and already up to 9 months size.

When she was 2 months I had to get her a jacket for 12months that way I was sure (hopefully, lol) that it would last her at least this winter.

Most kids wear a larger size than what corresponds to their age. That, and I think you have a big boy there. ;-)

I thought I had planned for that.

I had NO newborn clothing, and about 2 0-3 month outfits. The rest of the smallest clothes were all 3 month. Good thing the Carter's outlet is near mom's house and I always have coupons!

My boy was not as big as yours Mrs. P and still he did not match the age on the clothing. We learned to ignore it somewhat, but there is no other good way to size up baby clothes.

Now, we lived in S. TX where it was warm so my kids wore onesies all the time at home. That was easy enough, cheap to keep up with too. They only wore little outfits when we left the house.

Both my boys are on the large size. My irst one came out wearing 3 month clothing. My second is into 24 month clothing and he is a little over a year now.
