I breastfed my daughter until she self weaned at 22 months. I've been breastfeeding my son now and he's 16 months. I plan to let him self wean as well. I feel so fortunate to give them this precious gift.

I just wanted to add that if you are a visual learner, there are now some awesome instructional videos on breastfeeding right on you tube. We had a very difficult time breastfeeding with DS(could only survive it for 2 months before I went into depression over it) so I'm trying to learn as much as I can to keep on track this time around, without scolding from outside "sources" when it starts to get a bit difficult.

Since I learn visually, you tube has been a savior to get me ready. Just a tip for soon-to-be mamas....
