Default Baby Einstein Videos - Are they worth it?

I am thinking about buying the DVD set and wanted some feedback on whether you think the videos are worth it or not and how much you would pay for each video.

Costco has a $20 off coupon for the set (not sure of the price or how many come in the set) valid for sometime in August that I am thinking about doing but wanted to get some thoughts about quality and price.

TIA!

my little ones love the videos, I dont think watching videos makes them smarter though. I think that comes from real human to human interaction. But...for a little quiet time a short video does keep them occupied. (bad mommy LOL)

I dont know about price really since our videos were gifts from grandma and I think she got them at sams club. we have 2 or 3 boxed sets and a few singles. I think I even have some duplicates in there.

My DD loves the animals one the most out of the set. She's almost 2 and it's been her favorite for months. I think the best way to use these is to interact with your child and ask them questions, state what you see, imitate the sounds, etc. But I will admit it does give me a good 20 minutes to get something done if I need to every once in a while. There's nothing wrong with that either.

my 2 year old likes the baby neptune one the best. The baby neptune has real fish and ocean animals in it that he thinks are really neat. Most all the ones with animals he really likes. The other ones he gets bored with easy.

My kids got really bored with the Baby E. videos but loved the Signing Time videos and they help little ones communicate better which in turn helped me!

We got a free one in the mail a few months ago (Baby Monet Discovering the Seasons) and I think that if my boys were younger they would have been ok with it, (at the time they were almost 2 and 3 1/2) but they got very bored with it and wouldn't sit through it. Maybe if we'd had it all along, they would be more into it, but they're used to faster paced things.

On that note, both of them do LOVE the Little Einsteins shows, which are on the Playhouse Disney channel.

All my kids loved them. But IMO, you only need one. Ther's no story line, just pics flashing. I'd rent one first and see if you can tolorate it.

My son LOVES the Little Einsteins too! It is a really great show, and I don't mind watching it either

my son likes them but I believe I have read some studies about too much TV too young can lead to ADD problems, so I try to not let him watch them too often as he is less than a year.
