I have a book titled 1000 Best Baby Bargains and that tip was one of them if you were having diaper leaking issues. I just kind of giggled when I read it knowing the stash of maxi pads I have down in the basement for after I have the baby. I will never use them all so this is a great tip to know that it actually works!!! Thanks for that confirmation Heidi.

I hated luvs. I hated that they dont stretch. I hated that they leaked for Jonny. Parents choice, same thing. White Cloud, better.

I love Pampers Cruisers and Huggies supreme. They work best for Jonny!

Am I the only one that likes the powder smell of pampers, lol?? Luvs leaked on both of my kids. On first baby, I used Dri-bottoms from Wal-mart, but they discontinued those, so I had to use others on my 2nd. The only ones I really didn't like were Rite-aid & Wal-greens. The rite-aid were stiff & hard, & the wal-greens leaked. Liked cvs diapers, the training pants are ok, but the side-seams are scratchy.

We didn't use disposables much. When I did, it was always Pampers because they fit my babies so much better than the other brands. I confess that I liked the way they felt -- a lot more like cloth than the other brands. We did cloth diapering with both of my children, so we only used disposables when they would be in someone's care that wasn't comfortable with cloth diapers.

My brother use white cloud from walmart with his son because that was the ONLY thing he didn't pee through at night. I'll be having a varitey of diapers stocked by August (hopefully) so we'll just see what works for us as we go and what doesn't gets donated or sold :)

What diapers do you like best?

To me the obvious answer would be..."the free ones"
:D

My favorites are Pampers Swaddlers and then CVS Explorers starting with size 3.
The regular Pampers not only stink, but they never fit my baby well - too tight around her thighs and too wide around her waist. Luvs fit better but also stink. I still buy them when I can get a great deal and send them to daycare for her. They also seem to hold much less in the bigger sizes compared to Cruisers and CVS Explorers, but they change DD more often at daycare anyway than I do at home, so no problem there.
I like the way Pampers cruisers fit, but again hate the smell.
Huggies are nice, regular or supreme. Supremes are a little softer, but overall the regular ones are good too.
Kirkland brand from Costco is very nice, similar to Huggies supremes. They are not really that cheap though, or I would buy these all the time.
White Clouds from Walmart are nice also, but seem to run just a little smaller than other brands, so we use them when we first move up a size.
CVS Explorers are my favorite because of performance and value, but the regular CVS are not so great. I think they are the same as Kroger brand and BRU brand diapers - just ok for me.
I think that is all we have used besides a couple of European brands that are no available here.
Wait, we did use Walgreens brand a couple of times and did not like those. I thought they were very bulky. This was the ones with the Land before times designs and I think they have actually changed them since then.

Now, when it comes to wipes, I must say that Huggies are my hands-down favorite. Pampers totally suck, CVS brand are ok and the other brands I have tried were all pretty bad. I actually broke down and (gasp) bought a huge case of them at Costco (with coupon though) because baby #2 is coming soon and my stockpile was very low with no good deal in sight. Once the new baby is here we will be going through those even faster!

With ds #1, I was a luvs mom until about size 3 then we switched to pampers cruisers. We tried regular huggies and my son had horrible diaper rash all the time (he was teething though so I really didn't give them a good chance). We used huggies supreme when pampers cruisers wern't on sale. I loved the huggies convertables. They stopped selling them for a while around here and I got them on killer clearance. I now see them everywhere on the shelf! Pampers baby dry leaked all around and the poop up the backside was a real turn-off. Now, they have that caterpillar stretch and they work okay if there's nothing else. We are now in pullups and hands down it huggies but I have so many easy ups that we just alternate packages and I can't seem to wait to get to the huggies. My friend told me though...be careful with those "sensitive" feel and learn pullups for night time. He has received many taps in the middle of the night because his daugher woke up with a wet diaper!
Regarding walgreens, they frequently have a pack far about once every other month so it wouldn't hurt to buy the next size up and store them at a friend/mom/or frequent relatives house because there are times your husband forgets to load the diaper bag when dropping the child off at mil/mother/or babysitters house...and guess who gets flack for that??

When Mason was newborn, Pampers Swadlers worked the best. As she grew, we switched between Huggies and Pampers depending on the way they fit her growing tushy.
I didn't use Pampers for a long time until I got a pack on sale. 2 out of 3 diaper rashes she's ever had were when she was wearing the Pampers Cruisers. Coincidence?? Who knows, but I prefer Huggies Supreme.
Kirkland (Costco) are just as good as regular Huggies and really cute too!
Once, I tried the Safeway brand and HATED them! I felt so bad for my little baby, they were like cardboard! Ewe!
