Which diapers are your favorites?

Don't know. Haven't used them. If they are anything like Rite Aid and CVS, they're good diapers. As I mentioned above, most of the store brands are made by Tyco, and are virtually identical.

I was wondering about the quality of Walgreens' diapers, too! You can do a search on Walgreens' site and see how many are in a pack. I was figuring that out last night. Size 1 has 56 and they are buy one get one 50%, so $11.99 for 112 or about .11 a diaper. Not bad I guess, but since I'm just stocking up I'm not going over .10 a diaper. I think the Walgreens buy one get one 50% sale is a pretty frequent sale.

We are not too brand loyal on diapers. I have stockpiled Pampers, Huggies, Luvs, etc.

As well as generics from Walgreens, Walmart, and Albertsons. They all seem to be the same to me.

My bottom line price is about $3 a pack (figuring in price per unit of course)

The only time I have ever been brand loyal was when my twins were newborns and needed preemie diapers. I found the huggies preemies to work the best as my little ones had no butt cheeks and the huggies fit well to prevent leaky breastfed poop. They cost us a mint, but it was the only brand that fit well, and they were carried at all the stores here where as other brand preemies were hit or miss. Our twins were 6lbs 5 oz and 5lbs 11oz, so they were not in the preemies very long.

But to answer the Walgreens brand question...they are fine. We too have nighttime soakers and no matter what brand I use they pee out of them at night...we just do more laundry or I put a sanitary pad in for extra absorbancy.

I thought I was the only one who think Pampers STINK!!! It seems like everyone else loves them. Why do they make them so smelly?

I don't know, but it's revolting. I can smell him all the way across the room, and I have been emptying the diaper pail twice a day.

I love Huggies. I will deal with Pampers & Luvs if I get a good deal but I won't use them overnight on DS.

I feel that the Huggies "stink" because there isn't enough material to go around my son on the sides. Also the leg portion is really skimpy. I have found that the Luvs have the best amount of material on the sides. My son is really scrawny (21 pounds for a 18 month old) kid and this is what I have found. Pampers Swaddlers and the Cruisers up to size 3 fit him really well. The cruisers (size 4) were skimpy.

You can buy diaper doublers for night. I used them before I was a serious couponer and picked them up at the grocery store. They look like a huge maxi pad with no sticky stuff on them. You just place them in the diaper before bed. We had some success with these when ds was peeing through diapers every night. We also had success with the Huggies Overnight Diapers for this problem. I don't know if they even make those anymore, though.

we just use a maxi pad....good use for all those free kotex.
