If I could do it, I would.
I don't really know maybe like 20-30. But I don't need that many. They aren't all bumgenius either. But one size is cheaper in the long run. I started with 11? and two wool covers. We usually send sposies to daycare, so we're a mixed family. Easier that way though and you don't have to keep track of whether they come back. The laundry isn't two bad, I add one extra small load every 2-3 days. Happycheeks diaper on hyenacart.com makes a two size system of pocket diapers (like bumgenius) but the first size will fit most babies till potty training, it just depends on how fast your kids grow and how fast the potty train.

Also you cannot ever resell a used disposable so cost isn't all what it even seems either because used cloth diaper sell well, especially if you keep thme in good condition. (line dry, espcially pockets and don't dry pail poopy diapers)

Sorry, hope not to offend, but I just have to say ewwwwwww. I've never used cloth diapers but I would never even think you could buy them used....or would want to buy them used for that matter.

Diapers are a really individual thing. Some kids do better in one brand, some in another. Some styles work better, some styles don't. In my case, not only could I not stand the scent of Pampers, something in them made both of my kids break out. We've been loyal Huggies uses. The Mom to Mom store brand at Safeway has worked out well too. I didn't like the feel of Luvs (although I hear they've changed it a bit since then).

I can also say that the Huggies Supremes are terrible. They work well and all that, but there is a lot of ink on them (cutsie pictures) that rubs off on the inside of your child's clothing. We had 2 sleepers of Jenny's that we were NEVER able to get the ink off, we washed a hundred times, bleached and everything. It looked terrible! I couldn't even take her to the grocery store with me in them because it looked like she'd had a huge blowout in them. I wrote to them about it and they sent me a bunch of coupons, but that didn't replace 2 fuzzy sleepers off season when they were hard to find!

So, try a few things, see what works for you and your child, then go with that.

Tess

Default Does anyone use Parents Choice Diapers?

I use to be very particular about her diapers. I would only use Pampers because we had some leakage issues when I tried Target store brand diapers but since she turned a year old I've been using Luvs with no problems. We went to Walmart today and I usually just buy the small pack of Luvs which is around $7.97 for 34. Well, I keep seeing people buy the Parents choice brand so I said hey, she doesn't care who's on the diaper and even if it lasts me a few days then i'm happy. It was $5.46 for 30. I think when they are a smaller baby it makes a difference or if they have sensitivity to the diapers. I do like that the tabs are so much stronger and thicker, but we'll see today if she has any leakage issues. My dh says who cares what brand you buy you just throw it away anyways. She's jus turned 2 now and hopefully we'll be potty training soon so it won't matter what brand.

My friend loves PC diapers. She says they are comparable to Huggies.

I have never tried them myself. I really like WAG brand (on sale this week 2/$9) and Huggies - on sale at WAG next week:

We tried the walmart diapers last week and my daughter is allergic to them. Her poor hiney is bright red it's terrible. We had to get prescription creme for it and her pediatrician confirmed that it was from the diapers. We have tried several other store brand diapers and she has not gotten a rash from any but the walmart diapers.

My DD is Im guessing alleric to scented diapers ie-pampers and luvs. She breaks out in a horrible rash from them and she also cant use the walmart brand. They are a lot like Huggies but if you feel the lining to them huggies are soft and walmarts feel like sandpaper, well to me anyway and DD broke out into a rash so I cant use walmarts. After Im done with my huggies q's Im going to start buying wags or white cloud but im not sure if any of them are scented or not so if anyone uses those can you please tell me if they're scented or not..thank you so very much my DD's bottom will surely appreacite it :) lol
