So now with the changes, I'm going to save those additions for my registery just so I don't ask for all size 4s!!! So that will work out good. Some of my supply are the large boxes, so that's why I did the diaper count vs. the packs, but thanks for your amounts, it really helps!!! |

| Who here is COMPLETELY stocked on diapers & how many?? Ok, so the Pampers deal is going on this week at Target. I haven't done it....YET. I look at the diapers I have & think well I have enough for a long time yet.
BUT.......I really don't have as much as I thought!
I went & counted & ran some numbers. This is what I came up with.
I have an 18 mo old wearing size 5 right now. I figure if he follows suit like my other 3, he'll be trained by 2 1/2 or sooner if I'm lucky!! So I figure another 12 months of diapers for sure.
On average at this time we go through 5 diaper changes/day. I figure an average of 30 days in a month so we need 150 diapers/month. So for 12 months I'll need 1800 diapers.
So I counted what I got right now. I have a mixture of Jumbo, Mega, Super Mega etc in the closet but at this time I have:
300 Size 5
303 Size 6
That's enough for 4 months. It sure LOOKS like it would last longer!!! So I need another 1200 diapers.....or 46 Jumbo packs!!! LOL Don't think I'll be buying that many right now!!
SO I guess I WILL do the Pamper deal this week, just not sure how many yet. Maybe 5 or 10 Jumbo packs...which really 5 packs is not even a month's worth. I guess I never sat down to figure how much one really does go through! Not a fun thing to think about I suppose, huh!??!
So anyhow, my whole point or question was, how many are in your stockpile & is anyone here fully set....or *think* they are?!?! Like I said, I thought I was set for quite awhile, but heck 4 months?? That's nothing!!
Oh & I also have a 3 yr old who is trained but I do put a pull up on him at night yet. He goes back & forth w/ wetting at night. With my other 2, once they were trained during the day, they were trained at night as well. Not sure if putting the pull up on him gives him comfort knowing he WON'T wet the whole bed? I never used pull up's w/ my other 2 cause they were so darn $$$, but now w/ couponing & getting them so cheap (like last week at Target), I've been using them. I think I have enough of those to last for the 3 yr old as well as when my 18 mo old is ready for them!!
So maybe I see all the diapers & pull up's in the closet & think there is so much, that could be it I suppose...... |

| Re: Who here is COMPLETELY stocked on diapers & how many?? usually (lol) there are 365 days in a calendar year,
the 2008 is a 'leap' one, and with a 29th of Feb., there will be 366 days in next 12 months period
366 x 5/day = 1,830
1,830 - 606 = you will need 1,224 diapers
If you have sufficient storage space and assorted coupons, I'd stock up at Target this week:
the $0.50 + tax final cost per package of diapers = sounds like a fantastic deal!
How do they charge sales tax in your area: on full pre-coupon sub-total,
or only on the final purchase $, after all coupons?
Without sales tax, this deal is much better, lol |

| Re: Diaper Stockpile? I have a confession to make.
I have already started a stockpile for baby#2, and we're not even planning to conceive it until next year. LOL
I have 5 packs of size 1s, and three leftover size 2s in addition to the stuff listed above...

Without sales tax, this deal is much better, lol | Maybe I'm not figuring it right, but what is the deal for .50 packs of diapers?
What I read & thought was the best deal was this:
Buy 5 packs of Jumbo 9.50 x 5 = 47.50
5 wipes 2.39 x 5 = 11.95
1 Tide .99
Total 60.44
Coupons 5/20 x 3 = -15.00
3.00 x 5 = -.15.00
1. x 5 = -5.00
2.39 x 5 = -11.95
.50 Tide = .50
12.99 for 5 Jumbo packs & 5 wipes, so take away the wipes & it's 2.60/pack.
What do I need to do to get the .50 diapers?!?! |
