Carter's Tagless Refunds: Now requiring SSN

Just a reminder to everyone who has items from Carter's tagless line to contact carters if you want a refund.
for those of you that havent heard about this, it has been shown that many children experienced irritation in the area of the tagless labels, Carters is fully refunding all items from the fall 07 line and will send you a prepaid mailing label to send your items in. I just got around to contacting them about this, and this was their response. I contacted them through their web site.

Thank you for contacting us. Carter's is very concerned about the rashes that children are experiencing from our tagless garments. If you could provide us with your full name and address we will send you a prepaid label for you to return your Fall 07 garments for a full refund. Wow - that is so crazy - my daughter got a rash on her neck last year and I ddi not know what it was from -this would have nver occurred to me. Thanks for this post. I wonder if her onesies were from the 07 line - I will need to research this.

I sent them an email with my address like they asked, and I did ask how to tell what line they were from. I saw something online and I think fall 07 had larger labels than other lines, but I cant remember. I will wait for their response before I gather all mine up.

anyways, my daughter did have a slight reaction to them as well. I have seen online pictures of babies with VERY bad reactions. scary, and I wont risk saving those for my future babies (we plan to have 3 more, so our chances of at least 1 more girl are fairly high) knowing that they may be more sensitive than my first. :nah1: even though I planned to save them all :frown:

thankfully, they have tried to correct the situation, and the last trip I made to carter's outlet, they had regular tags back in their clothing. I am pleased that they are taking responsibility for the situation.

How do you know which ones are from the Fall 07 line? I know one of their clothes made my son's back break out. We couldn't ever figure it out.

Does this go away with washing?

I still have not gotten a response to my second email to carter's asking how to tell how to tell which ones to send back, so here is what I was able to find myself online.

A Message From Carter's ...

Is there a recall on the Fall 2007 products? No. Carter’s has used tag-less labels on hundreds of millions of products and our experience with these labels is that they are safe. Carter’s has coordinated directly with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) on this issue. If there is no recall then why is Carter’s issuing a release with the CPSC? Naturally, we are very concerned about any child who may have had a skin rash while wearing our garments. We are working closely with the CPSC to make sure that consumers are alerted to the situation in the event that their infant has an allergic reaction. What do I do if I’m not satisfied with my Carter’s clothing? As is our standard policy, customers may return any item that they are not satisfied with for a full refund.
