Re: Reminder: carters tagless: refunds. I think it could well be connected, I'd love to know what your pedi says, from what I undersand the problem is due to the label sort of flaking off and causing abrasion to the skin. whether or not your pedi thinks the label is causing the rash on your daughter I would email childrens place and let them know about it. ask them if they are offering anything like carters is, I dont think they would want to put their reputation on the line over something like that.
with my girl I thought it was psoriasis, since I had it as a child fairly severely - up until I turned about 18. , or maybe baby excema since that is very common. then I came across the info about carters and how they were giving refunds for the clothes, and now I am sure thats what was causing it, because the only place she has the rash was in the middle of her back right where the label would be. thankfully she didnt get as bad of a rash from it as I have seen pictures of online. those poor babies :frown:
like I said before I am very sad to get rid of any of her baby clothes becase of the memories and also becuase I was saving them for the future. a lot of things like pajamas I always buy gender neutral so I can use them with all of my babies(plan to have 4) and I wanted to have several items ready, and not have to buy as much in the future.
I guess I will just take note of what I send back to them and wait for a really great sale at the outlet and go back and replace them.
I certainly dont want to save them to use in the future in case I have a baby who is even more sensitive to these labels, I guess I just got lucky that my daughter didnt react severely to them, and that I found the information online before it was too late to do anything about.

I never considered that it could be from her clothes, I actually thought it was ring worm, but my pediatrician said it looked like a contact rash???
I saw this Carters thread and pulled out a shirt (just up late waiting for the dyer to finish ironically) and I noticed the tag less Children's Place label is in the shape of a heart which would make a convenient circular looking mark if its the cause.
I am calling her pediatrician tomorrow to see if this could be it... I never made a connection most of her clothes are gymboree and they use regular labels but she has several Children's Place Tag less shirts that she wears allot this could explain the strange sometimes its there then just magically goes away behavior of her rash...
Has anyone else had this issue with bigger kids??? |
