Best Price for Jarred Baby Food?

My daughter is 3 months old, so I will be starting her on jarred food in the near future. I always bought Gerber when my son was a baby, but am not particular about the brand. What is the best price to pay per jar? Right now, a store by me has the Gerber Stage 1 - 2 pack tubs 10/$10, so 50 cents a tub. I'd like to start buying now so I have a good amount when she's ready but really don't know what's a good deal and what isn't. If anyone has any suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

i found peelies at walmart on the beechnut cereals for bogo 2nd foods with dha (walmart price was 54 cents per jar)

u missed the delmonte sale a few weeks back they had 25c each at meijer minus 1.00/8 cpn made them 8/1.00

I don't have a Meijer by me--the closest one is in the next state--but wow, 8/$1 is amazing! The stores I have around me are Jewel/Osco (where I saw the 10/$10), Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, Dominicks, Food-4-Less--I think that's it. I will definitely look for peelies at Walmart--thank you for that tip!

My best price is free-.25 per jar.

I got a complete stockpile for the next baby when Safeway had those $1/1 O Organics coupons last year. I paid nothing for over 200 jars of organic baby food that doesn't expire until 2010.

Ok, can't beat free baby food! And I just found out that Dominicks is a Safeway store--had no clue. Do you think there's a chance this deal would come around again in the next year? I am very new to all of this and have no idea how sales like that work.

I'm not sure. They were heavily promoting the new organics line, so there were lots of coupons out there.

But there are always some deals out, you just have to keep your eyes on the forums for your stores!

I agree with the free to .25/jar. Right now DD is eating 5 jars/day and is showing no interest in table food. She has eaten through my stock! Keep your eyes open. You have plenty of time to find sales.

Watch for target sales. I bought some when they were having a sale, I also printed some coupons from mod edit of competing site or something like that (my target no longer takes them so ask yours if they will take them) plus I had some Gerber coupons and got each jar for about 7 cents a jar.
