| Re: Inspiration for children's names? Jennifer Lynn-loved the name Jennifer, Lynn is her fathers middle name
Johanna Parker-Johanna named after one aunt, Parker is my mothers maiden name
Madeleine Johanna-Great, great grandmothers name, and 2nd daughters 1st name
Olivia Parker-Jennifer picked out the Olivia and we used 2nd daugters middle name
John Thomas-again Jennifer picked this name, because she knew I had always like it. There used to be a show on and the little boy was named John Thomas, I loved his personality.
Johanna Parker-passed away when she was 1 yr old, so we used her 1st & 2nd names for the twins when they were born, each child got a part of their sisters name.
Jennifer was 19 when the girls were born and 21 when John was born so she got to help pick names out.

| Re: Inspiration for children's names? Solen Aidan Long story, but short of it is I heard the name & thought it was the coolest name I ever heard. Ran into the lady 2 years later & she was shocked that I had followed through & named my son after her husband. She ended up being his daycare lady for a couple years after that & had to explain to her neighbors why my son was named after her husband.
Aidan because I just think it is a pretty name. Alexandra Skye Decided to keep with a Greek theme (Solon is greek). So was between Alexandra or Diana. Since dh's middle name is Alexander, then I kept the Alexandra.
Skye, since Solen's middle name was British, decided to go with same for Alexandra. Also, since Solen initials are SA, and Alex's was A?, then looked for a middle name beginning with S. Since we visited Isle of Skye 3 times while living in England, we went with Skye. She was born with (and still has) the steely blue eyes of Kurts grandmother.
Next baby? Boy: Matham Scott. Got the first name from a book called "Riddlemaster of Hed" Matham was a king who could take a crow's appearance. I liked the name when I first heard it. Scott, because I like the director's name, Ridley Scott. And Matham Scott sound good together.
If its a girl: Juliet Marie. Juliet because I just think it is a simple, elegant name. Marie only because it "fits"

| Re: Inspiration for children's names? Katrina Belle- Katrina after Katrina Vantassel in the legend of sleepy Hollow. Belle cause it was pretty.
Cady (pronounced k-d) Bryn- I found both names in a baby book
Eric Clement-Eric, we both liked, and I've never met anyone with the name that I didn't like. Clement is after DH's grandfather.

| Re: Inspiration for children's names? We didn't find out the sex of either baby so we needed 2 names on tap:
Girl would have been Catherine Llewella after my grandmother and Dh's grandmother.
Out came boy so Steven Elton. DH chose Steven because when he was in 6th grade, his good friend Steven was really sick and passed away. DH's last memory of seeing his friend was from the hospital parking lot because they wouldn't let kids into the hospital to visit, so Steven waved to him from his room window. Elton after his grandfather.
Next pregnancy, we still had our girls name ready to go. I actually thought this baby was going to be a girl so even though we discussed names, (dh didn't like ANY of my choices) we never really finalized our boy choice. 8 months along I decided we REALLY needed to have a boy name, just in case. I bought a baby name book at a yardsale for .25 and we went through that book page by page trying to agree on a name. DH wanted Kenneth after his other grandfather but I couldn't give in - too much South Park all I could hear was "OH NO They killed Kenny!" but I did agree that Kenneth would be the middle name. We finally got it down to 3: Connor, Trevor or Tanner (preference in that order). I really liked Connor but Trevor won out because Steven and Trevor sounded better together and Trevor Kenneth sounded better than Connor Kenneth AND I got to use my logic for naming children alphabetically so that others would be able to remember which one was older! LOL
