Once you get your kid in school with this name...ya find out it is very common these days......his school has another kid with his same exact First, Middle, and Last name!!!! Very frustrating as their records have been confused before!

OMG that would suck to have a kid with the same exact name yikes! I know to Daniel Jacob's one it 9 other is 18 - they where both in my office at my old job and we figured we'd call one dan and one danile jacob until we realized they both had the same first and middle name that was a fun day at the office!!

Andrea Mae

My husband's middle name is Andrew. And both my grandmother and my husband's grandmother's middle name is Mae.

I would never of thought but a lot of people mispronounce her name -On instead of An-. Just like Andrew but a different ending.

Zahara Haley ~ Her Dad and I met in Spain and visited a small, medieval fishing town, called Zahara, totally surrounded by water. We found the name to be exotic and apparently Angelina Jolie thought the same since she decided to name her adopted daughter Zahara too. Darn celebrities... ruining it for us commonfolk! LOL!

My first child was named Elizabeth Catherine. Elizabeth was my grandmother's name and Catherine is my sister in - law's name. Unfortunately, she was born prematurely. Then we had a little boy and we named him Luke Richard. A lot of people believe that we picked Luke because of Star Wars (which incidently my husband loves) but is truly from the Bible. Richard is my father in - law's name.
If we have another child, we would like to name him Jude if it is a boy and Dorothy if it is a girl. We aren't sure of the middle names yet.

Default Re: Inspiration for children's names?

Natalie Cristine - We both liked the name Natalie, and my middle name is Cristine.
Owen Steele - Again, we both liked Owen (it was the ONLY boy name we could agree on) and Steele is my paternal grandmother's maiden name. Even though she died 5 years before I met dh, we wanted a family name and that's the only one that we liked.

I'll go first:

Abigail Grace -- Me and DH were discussing names early on in my pregnancy. It was my second pregnancy. The first had ended in a miscarriage. DH loved the name Abigail. Wanted something to express how much he loves dd -- thus the name Abigail, which means "a father's joy." I chose Grace because through God's grace we were able to conceive her.

David Neal -- My son is named after his daddy. Neal is a family name -- DH's grandfather was O'Neal, and his dad is Joe Neal. David means "beloved" so it fit perfectly.
Bringing an old thread BACK! LOL!

Omg, my mom told me once that she almost named me Abigayle Grace (with Gayle my grandmother's name, that's why the weird spelling). That's interesting.

Since I'm preggo now, if it's a girl it will be Caroline Reneé- (Caroline for my mom who was Cara Lynne and Reneé for a good friend of mine) if it's a boy it will be Alexander James (DH picked it out, he wanted strong, manly names, LOL.

Our second boy will be Xavier (b/c DH thinks that will mean he's smart like Professor Xavier in X-men) and Savannah if it's a girl b/c I LOOOOVE that name. Plus Savannah kind of goes with Caroline (like Savannah, Carolina, you know- southern names).

Our daughter is 9months.

Her name is Emmalia Marinn. Originally it was going to be Madison Emmalia but Madison was the #1 name in our state last year...and I am an Ashley. In kindergarten, there were 7 other Ashley's...so I go by Elizabeth. Anyway, we wanted something more unique based on my experience. I once baby sat a little girl named Emmalia and Loved the name. For the middle name, I liked Marina (it didn't go with Emmalia though) and my husband liked Marin. I didn't like the way it sounds. So we compromised.

Default Re: Inspiration for children's names?

My dh is Turkish and I wanted a Turkish name, but I was looking at first for something that people wouldn't have too much trouble with not that I mind, but I know how kids can be mean with names. My dh's oldest sister gave all her kids Turkish middle names but I wanted a Turkish first name. Originally before thinking I wanted something Turkish I thought of Leah. Then I changed it to Leilah and then my dh told me there is a turkish name Leyla (pronounced the same as Layla). So we were watching Deal or No Deal a lot and saw number 13 is Leyla (spelled the same) and had to name her that with that spelling. My MIL loves the fact that I gave her a Turkish name, but it's accepted as an American name as well. I just wanted her to be proud of her heritage, but not have to endure too much teasing as I was teased a lot about my name and didn't like it until I was probably 20.

Elizabeth is her middle name and it's a family name. My grandmother was Elizabeth, my Aunt is Elizabeth, and my sister's middle name is Elizabeth.

So she's Leyla Elizabeth. I would have had such a hard time if we had a boy...
