| HELP! Can grandparents sign up for formula, and baby clubs, etc? I'm a new grandparent and also a new couponer. Hopefully this is the right forum to ask this question. My son and dil have a new baby. They're really struggling financially, with a new house, new baby, medical bills from all 3 of them, and of course gas and food prices. I already try to help them out as much as I can with groceries and HBA, but I'd really like to be able to help them more with the really expensive stuff like formula and diapers. Is it possible for me to sign up in my name with pampers, similac, etc? Would I need to say I'm expecting? Or is that so illegal it's not worth taking a chance on? In one of the faqs about getting baby stuff they said get your friends and family to sign up for you, but it was written in 2006, so I didn't know if things might have changed. They are signed up for WIC, but the formula they get doesn't agree with the baby. Thanks in advance for any help!

| Re: HELP! Can grandparents sign up for formula, and baby clubs, etc? Thanks guys! PHP Code: My mom, stepdad and SIL are all signed up for DS.
When they signed up, do you know, did they sign up as a parent? I'd like to maximize what I can get to help them. I'm going to take whatever I get and purchase the stuff myself. But I really don't want to do something I really shouldn't! Thanks. |

| Re: HELP! Can grandparents sign up for formula, and baby clubs, etc? As far as WIC goes, my son had to change 3 different times. At first, it was the Good Start regular. Then, they changed him to SOY Good Start. And then, the doctor finally got ticked off with them not listening and wrote three different prescriptions for different ones and they did take (all 3 options were for LACTOSE FREE) was the Enfamil LactoFree. They have to, by law, give you what your doctor prescribes if it is something else. Enfamil also has a A.R. formula that helps out sometimes.
Good luck!
