Default Best Disposable for cloth user

We have only been using since dd was 12 months old. We are going out of town next month for about 2 weeks, and cloth is not the best choice for our trip. The smell of disposables is really strong for me since I'm not used to it. Which type of disposable diaper gives off the least stink or chemical smell? (or whatever that smell is) Thanks! I need to start keeping a lookout for a good deal.

If you don't want a scent, do NOT use any form of Pampers or Luvs.

The nasty baby fresh scent in those gives DS a rash.

I've had to keep all Luvs and Pampers away from my two boys. If you want cheap diapers that have no smell CVS brand or White Cloud should be okay for a trip but personally I'd spend a little more and get Huggies since they are super absorbent and don't have the smell other diapers have.

Personally I love my Huggies. CVS has them for $8.99 next week.

Hey! I am a cloth diaper momma too! We have been using cloth since december and before that we used nothing but pampers on DS (what a waste of money that was. it was before I was couponing) Anyway, DS has really bad eczema so he is sensitive to chemicals in certain brands and here are the diapers that are good and the ones that are bad (for us ).

Pampers(all) - no rash/ strong scent
Huggies(all) - no rash/ no strong scent
Luvs - horrible rash/ strong scent
CVS Supreme - horrible rash/ no strong scent
Walgreens (in the red package) - no rash/ no strong scent
White Cloud - No rash/ no strong scent
Parent's Choice - no rash/ no strong scent
Target brand - slight rash/ no strong scent
Playskool brand - slight rash/ no strong scent

As far as price goes---it depends on the sale. Huggies seem to go on sale the most. Of the name brands this would be the best for you (supremes are better quality than the Snug n Dry, I think). Of the store brands I would go with Wal-mart's Parent's Choice. They are the cheapest w/o coupons (5.74 for the Jumbo pack at my store) and we never had any real problems with them. Most people love the CVS Supremes and I hear nothing but good things about them (on HCW) but they didn't work out for us.

I usually get a few packs of Huggies when they are on sale b/c they have more coupons available and are also eligible for the caregiver's marketplace rebate.

Just my two cents! Hope that helps.

I'd assume since you cloth, you might want something a bit healthier.
So Seventh Generation, or G Diapers. G diapers have a cover, with snap in liners and flushable inserts.
You can get either on ebay if you're trying to find a better price.

if you can afford 7th generation, go for it, i've never tried them as they are too costly, but if we had the extra money that is what i would have used. I would definitely say huggies are the least smelly compared to pampers/luv's. We mainly used luvs when ds was fulltime sposie user. We switched him mainly to cloth at 10 months, and 1 year later, he is pottytraining rather well, which I thank cloth for partially at least!

I used cloth diapers also - ds is 17 now. Some of my fondest memories are of being able to feel his baby tush when I patted him.

I swear by Toys R Us diapers. They are not a thing of beauty but they do not leak (and he could really fill a diaper!) and they don't have a harsh scent.
