I dont use cloth much at all anymore honestly, but I did for several months use cloth almost full time. Loved fitteds with covers.... my favorites of what I tried were called Clovers. I also liked Peewells. the All Together diapers were ok but harder to get a good fit. also tried one kind that was hemp and I thought it felt really rough.

I disliked fitteds. They didn't seem to hold much and my DD peed right through them. Prefolds folded placed in a cover can work great! They can hold so much once they are 'prepped' and I just really love prefolds. I also used pocket diapers so I could adjust the absorbancy. I loved the side snapping ones as you can adjust them to fit the baby easier than aplix (velcro type fasteners). If you send Jen an email (she's the mama behind Sew Crafty Baby) she'll be glad to help you out! She is super nice and honest as she uses everything she sells. Or used everything, depending on what she's liking at the moment.
Cloth can be so addicting! There is just such a great selection of cute stuff out there! I prefered solid colors for covers or pockets, I have a hot pink GAD that is just so cute! I also tie dyed many of my prefolds and pinned them on my daughter with no cover during the summer. They hold the stuff in with the right fold and she loved going coverless around the house on really warn days! A diaper, a tee shirt and a pair of baby leg warmers (she was attempting to crawl at the time) was her summer days at home outfit.

Oh I should also add that I used some one size and they are okay, but I prefered sized because they just seemed to fit better. Could just be my kid, but they did fit her so much better. She wore mediums forever and still could fit in some of them now if not for being potty trained.

I use all in one pocket diapers called Bum genius 3.0. You can dry them in the dryer and the manufactors label actually says to so i don't know where she got that idea. I love these diapers they are great. To me its not really anymore work to cloth diaper. They are all in one and they fit newborn up to potty training. My son is 15 months and Im not sure how much longer they will fit though. Im sure they will probably fit to two years old. He is a big kid though. I am about to buy fuzzi bunz in the large size though just incase he is to big later on. I bought mine on diapers.com and i got my first set for 14 something a piece. You can buy them used but I was kinda grossed out by it even though it is sanitary (mind thing). If you buy them on diapers.com you get a discount for being a new customer and there are codes to get % off and stuff.

Thanks so much everyone for your help. I will pass this info on to my daughter-in-law.
These diapers do seem so much easier then when I used cloth for my children...and cuter too
And more opinions are welcome.

Oh ps if she does do cloth diapers she must by the diaper sprayer. Look at it on diapers.com. It hooks up to the back of the toliet so you can spray the poop off. Its a must. I thought I could do without it because it was like 40 or 50 dollars after shipping and all that. But boy was i wrong this thing is a life saver.

I totaly agree with you... I love my BG3.0; best thing EVER.. not any harder then regular diapers to use and washing isn't a big deal, the machine does it all.. we LOVE them, we started when dd was 3 month she now is almost 17 month, we have the same set still ( and some new ones..lol) and they are still strong... I would also say don't buy them used, I did, wasn't a big deal, I washed them and they weren't dirty .. so I was okay however the ones I already had and used for 12+ month look great and have tons of life left, the 2 I bought used are leaking, don't have any of the plastic coating on the inside left, I only use them now as a "spare" in the car in case we forget them at home so we have a diaper, but will not be able to use them on a regular basis.. so the used ones usually run anywhere from $10 -$12 anyway, invest the few extra $$ and buy new I would say... you also can start out with a small patch, I think I bought 6 and used those, washed them every day till I could afford another 3 or 6 and now we are up to I think 22... There are sales we love to buy at www.cottonbabies.com they actually just hada sale for $14.95 and free shipping over $75... I also second you need the sprayer, best thing you will ever buy and use... I wasn't gonna buy it at first either, though well.. if she poops big deal we will figure it out.. NO you need it.. sooo easy, cleans the poop right out.. LOVE it.. if you have any question, I'd be more then happy to help... That said I LOVE my BumGenuis ...:-) ( P.s. no I'm not selling them, I'm just a mommy that loves her diapers..hahah)

Anyone have any suggestions of ones that they have liked or even dreaded so she can avoid those. Also where do we purchase these. Thanks for any help
I use the All in one BG 3.0 always use them in the drier.. been using them for over a year no problem at all.. they are still perfect.. best ones ever.. I love mine// I don't like Fuzzy Buns ( I think that;s the name); my daughter always leaked thru those, and she is a squirmer, hates diaper changes so with trying to find the right botton to snap was a challange, with the BG 3.0 the velcrow just attaches like a regular diaper, and some people say their velcorw curls, I have mine for 12 + month and it atatches perfect, no curl at all.. they still stick like the first day... and they go in the washer & dryer every other day... LOVE them

I really think that one should try a few of the styles to see what they really prefer! I'd never recommend sinking a lot of money into one style or system until you know you love it! I've found that I don't like microfiber but BG 3.0 are nice with other inserts unless your kid starts taking off their diapers. Right now FuzziBunz are working nicely for us since they snap. I also love fitteds now that he is older and can walk around without a cover! My current favorite is a fitted with a snap in soaker.

I mainly used prefolds at first as they were so economical and there just seems to be something special about them. I'm planning on making some more with some hemp fabric I have. I am loving hemp and bamboo as they are so much more absorbant and trimmer. Yes, more expensive unless you can get the fabric and sew yourself.

I started off with a low amount of money invested by buying prefolds and covers. Then I would try something different here and there. Now, I have a few of each kind and I am quite pleased to be able to switch it up.
