This is just like Office Depot (I don't go there either).:shrug7:
Hmm...are Family Dollar's franchised?? If not, I don't think the managers can make up their own rules about how many coupons you can use...if a manager told me that I would ask her those questions!

Default Re: Family Dollar FAQs & info(UPDATED)

I tried to use a $5/$25 ad coupon at Family Dollar today, (rang up $27.50 worth of items) then presented my manufacturer's q's, and the register beeped - wouldn't take any of them.
My sister worked a good deal at a different FD across town Tuesday, and they rang it up as a $5 gift certificate after Manf. q's.
but The store manager I got today said I had to go buy more things or not use the coupons. I told her, this isn't right. She refused to budge, would rather argue and void out my entire order.
I called corporate and received a very curt woman who barked for me to give her my name and number and she would call me back. She did not.
Soo.. I know YMMV. But wanted to vent. Should I email a complaint too? :shrug7:Anyone had to deal with them before? is it worth fighting or just drive across town? Thanks.

    Default Please read updated FAQ

I have updated the FAQ to show:

    New forms of payment accepted.
Direct link to Coupon policy on their website.
I also pasted the actual coupon policy in the FAQ thread.
Internet coupons ARE ACCEPTED within the Family dollar guidelines.

Please note that Family Dollar DOES NOT accepet TOTALLY FREE COUPONS so any talk of using these at Family Dollar will result in a Warning/Infraction.

We want Family Dollar to continue to let us use coupons so please use within their guidelines.

    Thanks,
    Your Family Dollar Mod!

I don't do a lot of Family Dollar but the coke coupon in this week's ad has me wanting to go in there. So now all the Family Dollar coupons say you can't use them with other coupons, correct? So i won't be able to use my mfg coupons for coke 2 liters with their coupon or will I?

I went today and my store wouldn't allow overage...has anyone else had this problem?

“Cash Back” will not be issued if the value of the coupon is greater than
the purchase price of the item."

Maybe the cashier interpreted that to mean no overage? I think it's YMMV.

You have to go by their coupon policy (see above). The policy does state it will not accept coupons that "are for 'free' items unless a purchase is required" (i.e. bogo).
